multiple people in this thread have replied that it is a problem that people can not buy the same weapons that the military can. So If I am misinformed, I'm not alone on this site.

Hate to admit it, but I keep checking back to see what is new, the whole da** choir got on their soap box, me included. I find it worth while to sit back and justify why I believe some things that aren't 100 & accepted today. Thank you to the mods for keeping it from flaming, but allowing a few of us to stop and think about the 2 nd and not just a knee jerk reaction. Yep, I think Chello is necessary too, like the devil's advocate when the church makes a new saint. It is a mighty tough job keeping the true believers honest.

But why would anybody need a crew served weapon like a M2 machine gun?

    Note -
Thread is moved to the BOR subforum.
    Note also -
This thread is about as unfocused as possible, and worse, there are some elements of disruption in a number of posts. Rather than passing out warnings about CoC violations, take this post as a suggestion to chill out a bit before hitting the keyboard with minimum thought beforehand.

This is all posturing. I don't mind answering these questions, but if doing so changes what you are or are not willing to say about your own actions, then you know nothing about the internet (I on the other hand have been using it before it was the internet). Nor was I asking you "exactly", I specifically said "in general".
    1. no (you don't get drafted with uncorrectable bad vision)
    2. computers (which happily for me I discovered in the early 70s and have had a pretty wild run in the industry over the years)
    3. a city
    4. not any more (it was stolen)
5 it was my grandfather's (a 1940's S&W 22 revolver in pristine condition). I don't count the cap lock muzzle loaders I also got from him as they don't count as useful firearms today.
6 likely run and call 911. even when I had the 22 I am more likely to be walking around with my cell phone than the gun so if confronted the gun wouldn't do me any good anyway as it wouldn't be in my hand.
    7. alone.

but again if you are not comfortable answering my questions no matter what the "real" answers are to these questions I would suggest you never answer as you never know who you are talking to on the internet.

there was a guy that had an M2 in a Turret above his house in Lynnwood, Wa... It was there for decades... Then one day some wise BusyBody called ATF, and asked “What’s the Deal?” So they raided the guy and found it was a Spiked non-Functional replica, but the guy had a REAL One, legally purchased, and in another of his residences that was in a NFA State, which Washington is NOT... They spent months messing with the Guy, but couldn’t do squat, and it went viral, when the NEWS IDIOTS got ahold of the story... and played up how much the ATF spent on the case... Last time I was by the Alderwood Mall, it was still there...

I was not attempting to be disruptive. If that was the result, I apologize.

For me it is the BS baiting and condescending sukkupness.
Ad to the fact when a poster changes a portion of their post just to see who else they can suck in just to keep their incorrect statement in front of the folks. Bait and switch is a kids head game.
FWIW. It is easy to spot those phonies, I say phonies because they are not here to debate or converse they are here to read their poorly placed text in place for as long as they can because it make them feel superior.

Just call it a keyboard freaks way of getting their rocks off.

To confirm what my gut says, I simply copy and paste what should be duplicate post by any troll like newbie.

Then you can see how the "almost" duplicate text was changed to appear the troll simply changed a couple of pieces of text to make it seem that what you typed or what they typed was enough to change the meaning of what they are auguring for.

And yes they are only looking to argue.

Sickies one and all muck up a good debate with words like "I think" as if it really means anything about what they think

Rains coming so it'll e good sleeping tonight.

Now THAT is a peculiar statement coming from an apparent liberal. Couple things stand out. You don't want of out anyone, yet you as a very specific question regarding talking up arms against the government. And again that is a personal choice, you evidently intend to mimic a lamb and do what you're told without questioning the authority of whoever it is that orders you about. Then, you make a gross generalization about the spectrum of sites on the web.
Back to school laddie, you didn't get the core curricula, learned COBOL instead of civics. You really do need to read the Federalist Papers.

The thread is locked, so start another one if you care to.

I'm actually not happy you've not been back, but I understand it. Nobody likes stepping in a basket of biting snakes.
