Some how there isn't a post on this.

How far back does it go?

Let's start with an oldie but a goodie.
    Who remembers this picture?
    Elian_Gonzalez_guns.

    Years later you wonder....
How was this picture not staged?
    It's just too perfect.
I'm sure they scared the shit out of that kid, I think that part is real. The ends justify the means as Obama liked to say.
Hey doesn't that fbi agent look familiar?

No, I do not remember this. However, I would say the person with the firearm doesn't appear to be a LEO, clothing and attire looks more military surplus...but maybe its a really old photo. Also, I would assume if it is a LEO that he wouldn't be pointing his firearm at a man and child in that manner (one-handed) and engaging with the other hand, believe procedure calls for team member to cover individual leaving him with both hands free to constrain the suspect and protect himself...but procedures sometimes don't get followed.

Anyway, to me it looks more like it is staged by some guys playing dress-up...

That was the Elian Gonzalez fustercluck. Yup, the alleged LEO was a Federal LEO in full tilt boogie stupid mode.

Yeah it was 20 years ago.
This was before the 9/11 law enforcement gold rush. Back then they actually did use a lot of surplus. But it looks a little over the top.
That picture pretty much sums up 1990s and 2000s democrat immigration policy.
Back when evil republicans were in favor if illegal immigrants to exploit their cheap labor, at least that was the narrative.

You do have to wonder why there was a photographer present during the raid....

And how the photographer was perfectly positioned, and how a photographer would be allowed up front and potentially in the line of fire.

Yes, I remember that photo. I also remember a LOT of other things like seeing Janet Reno's thugs turn a fire hose on a bunch of Cuban American citizens who were doing nothing other than holding flags. I remember seeing a very elderly lady in that group being pinned to the ground by the water much longer than necessary struggling to get a breath of air. It was only showed once, live. It was never shown again for obvious reasons.

No need to wonder, it is addressed in the wiki cited above.

The hell of it is, that was NOT staged, but sure was stupid getting 130 feds involved.

    They definitely raided.
    But was the photo staged?
When they raided why didn't they put the guy with the camera on the floor.
Im sure if the DEA raids a crack house and there just happens to be a reporter in there and starts taking pictures, some how doesn't get shot they are definitely going to get thrown on the floor and their camera "accidently" stomped to pieces.
We would all love to have a professional photographer present when we get raided.
It was staged to some extent so the dems could say they're toughest on illegal immigration.

Wow, the look on the face of the child was plausibility fearful, the soldier looked too casual to be genuine and dad could have gone either way! I don't even remember one detail of what the broo hah hah was all about. No matter what It's good that his finger was not in front of the trigger.
