The brands are no longer listed as part of Remington's holdings and the individual web sites no longer list any parts for sale. Is Remington Leaving the MSR Market? DPMS, Bushmaster and TAPCO Sites are Shuttered - The Truth About Guns "TTAG spoke to a Remington representative who said the direction on the brands isn’t clear at this point and they were emphasizing sporting-directed firearms from Remington and Marlin at the SHOT Show. ..." They are likely up for sale, brand name and all. Remingtom ownership has also correlated with quality issues of their acquisitions. Hopefully all three brands will be given new life elsewhere. It IS a hard market right now.
Everyone needs to divest them selves from ATK sports and break the strangle hold they hold, and the basic brands need to be reformed separately! Remington, Marlin, Para Ordence, BlackHawk, Bushmaster, ext, all need to go their seprate ways and figure out how to keep their market positions intact, and even rebuild to gain back what ATK sucked outta them!
Does. this mean my custom built DPMS AR-10 is worth more, now that itis no longer being built??? I could use some “Good News” like that...
Yep, www.dpmsinc.com redirects to the Remington web site. Used to be an on-line catalog with complete rifles and parts for sale.
It been a hard 3 years for the gun industry with out the antigun hillery, Obama, Biden crime syndicate running things. Hillery is done and watching Biden is like watching the Titanic.
I think it is more about numbers/bottom line than anything else. Hell, there are so many firearms producers now that it must be hard to keep the books balanced. I do hope this is the real reason and Remington doesn't know something that we don't; however, with the crap going on in Virginia - well - the writing is on the wall...
If you want to sell a lot of something get the government to tell people they shouldn't have it. In the late 1980s and early 1990s no one cared about "assault weapons". A few people started to care after 1986.
Since I never sell Personal FireArms there is not much I can recoup in that kind of deal... But it is nice to know anyway, for the Insurance Man....
I don't want to see gun businesses close the doors....but they have to be able to run a business effectively. Everybody has seen the trend in AR-15s since 2016. Just about everybody has an AR already or will buy a knock off parts kit rather than almost double the amount for a Bushmaster or DPMS.
