My Emergency Face Mask Book is coming soon.

UncleMorgan I like peeling bananas and (occasionally) people.

I have been tracking the GOVID-19 Pandemic since the first reports hit my news feeds.

I did not expect the need for n95 face masks to utterly outstrip the available supply.

    SO...

I looked at the emergency face mask put out by the Shenzhen Hospital in Wuhan, China, which is on YouTube at htXXtps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwRWbYVqnLY

I made one and tested it. It is, in a word, worthless. It's not a face mask, it's a death mask.

Where it tents out at each side, an unrestricted channel for for unfiltered air exists so large that you can stick two fingers into the mask and touch your front teeth with no difficulty at all.

It's a propaganda piece, intended to lull the masses. The only thing the mask does is offer false hope.

    SO... (the Sequel)

I invented a better mask. One that actually works, and works well. It is super easy to make (Requires no sewing), uses materials that are still available, and can be made in minutes. Total materials cost: $0.14 per mask.

So I wrote a complete how-to book about it--fully illustrated, step-by-step. And did the same for a perfect face shield to use with it.

This is VITAL information to medical professionals that are running out --or have already run out--of face masks. And to individuals and families that have no access to n95 surgical masks.

I have no way to get the information about my mask to them, because when I tried to list it on Amazon Kindle it was promptly blocked. Completely. They wouldn't give me a specific reason. They just utterly refused to carry it.

Now, I have found, for various legal reasons that I have to (MUST!) register the copyright on my book. And that will take a few days. It's almost done (eRegistration in progress) but will probably take until Monday to process.

Until then, I can't publish it.

BUT--as soon as I can, I'll post it here for $5.00 and sell it direct, just like my shotgun book.

I hope that those who buy it find it worth recommending to others--and that it finds its way to places like Seattle where the need for face masks is desperate.

I'll be back on this in a few days.

Until then, here's a pic of the cover:

I keep a mask in a baggy in my back pocket and I sprayed it with colloidal silver ( i make my own) also use it as my hand sanitizer. I am confident that i am sufficiently armed.

The mask, either surgical or N-95, are only good for one thing...to keep you from touching your frackin' face with your nasty shit diggers! A bandana will serve that purpose! Neither the surgical nor the N-95 will filter out viruses, for that you would need a military-spec NBC mask and filters...lots and lots of filters. I wear a surgical mask, goggles and gloves at work (the gloves are mostly to protect my hands from the harsh cleaning chemicals in use). I wash my hands religiously, with soap and water for 30 seconds AND use hand sanitizer. I decontaminate myself and all of my stuff before entering the house. I also have a daily cleaning plan where I wipe down all common surfaces, including doorknobs, light switches, counter tops, appliance handles and controls, my car, etc., etc., etc.. I hope and pray that this will be enough!

Not true the virus is suspended in droplets that are larger. The virus itself is small enough to get through but the droplet that contains the virus is not. If it were just the virus itself floating in the air yer assessment of the mask would be accurate. Also the medical bio mask are usually treated with a strong long lasting antiviral agent like copper sulfate, which not only block the droplets containing the virus but kill the virus. Industrial mask are not treated with anti viral agents. Easy enough to treat industrial mask and cartridges with copper sulfate, simply mix a strong solution in a spray bottle and give the outside of the mask or first filter layer in a cartridge a good mist and let dry. While mask are not 100% effective I will take even 70% effective over ZERO.

That is correct about the droplets, and that is why you have to be careful when removing the masks and not to disrupt any of the virus....DON'T JUST GRAB AND JERK AND DROP IT!....otherwise you'll create a hot zone around the trash can. It might be a good idea to spray the discarded mask with alcohol or bleach.
I noticed on the news last night how some people were just beginning to question the CDC concerning the use of masks. The CDC has stated from day one that masks were useless and that the public shouldn't buy them because doctors, nurses, first responders and others needed them. I have long wondered, as I sit here with my modest hoard of masks, if the masks don't work, then why in the hell do the healthcare workers and first responders want them? I'll tell you this much, "I got mine and I'm gonna keep them and use them."!

In some cases the mask does improve the view.
