Thinking about 'modifying' your AR15?

Here is a story that takes place over a 15 month period and it's not done yet.

7 pages of posts and lot's of money. He may get out of it but it's interesting to note all of the different charges they slap him with as well as the things on the evidence list from the search and seizure. Makes one want to move a few books out of the house. UC for one.

I don't know if this guy did it or not. The BATFE still isn't sure. But, I will say that my urges for any of the illegal mods to firearms have long passed. I think the NFA 34, GCA 68 and 84 laws are pure BS and I think they should be repealed. After getting married and having a family, these fights just aren't in me any more and I choose to obey these unconstitutional laws. 10/$250K is just too steep a penalty for me.

This is interesting if you have some time to page through it.

THEY GOT A LOT OF FREE INFORMATION IS ALL THEY GOT RIGHT NOW.
THEY WANT TO MAKE YOU SWEAT----I SUGGEST YOU LIVE LIFE AS USUAL.

I doubt it. They probably read his stuff but I doubt they are in control of the Admin CP and the host. Well. I suppose 'They' could be in control of everything.

    You gonna go peacefully?

I have these paranoid visions of a midle aged guy and woman in bad polo shirts flashing badges and4 other jocks in black fatigues/vest behind them; pushing their waythrough thefront door: ("but Ive never even been to a gun show in Indianna!") and acting deaf to questions
: "Lets see this so called warrant!"., and
"hey! who the hell do you guys think you are?"

If you haven't pretty much made up your mind on that by now then give it some thought. Granted we all have different priorities in life,(wife, young children to consider, ect.). But make some of those decisions now. That way you will have less choices scrambling around in your head, when you are pressed into making split decisions.

I never keep any reading material around the house, even survival material. I read it and either dispose of it or put it away somewhere real safe for future use.

Remember that you will be judged by sheep, so understand their skooling and mentality, and keep your affairs as such.

Someone sent me some ammo that is legal, but scary to sheep if brought up in a future trial. I got it yesterday and already it is gone from the house. (BTW, thanks bud!) I am well aware that all of this sounds like I am 'giving in'. But in reality I can not protect my wife while I'm locked up.

I'm sure none of us here would obstruct a federal officer who is just trying to assist us in maintaining compliance with lawful federal regulations...

Some things are worth fighting for, FA on an AR isn't worth the trouble or hassles IMHO

Reading through it I was wondering at first if it was the same one I had read some of the transcript from a while back where the ATF folks cut a weld to MAKE it full auto so they could prosicute on it.

Full auto isn't all it is cracked up to be. semi-auto precision is far more effective than bullets that leave the barrel in the general direction.

Close quarter....that might be a different story with the correct, suppressed gun; Sadly in Michigan, I can't own a suppressor and there is no need to acquire an FA unless you want to give up what little privacy you have.

I have to agree with you Clyde, FA in CQ or if you are being rushed by multiple targets is what you want, but semi works for most situations. I always try to live by the saying “one shot one kill”.

I think every single one of them ought to be modified. Lightning links given out at the door. The law is just a stupid tax and it is the only tax we have that if you are in default on, you can't pay it go home.
