Whether you are sheltering in place, self quarantined, working at home, laid off or working regular or reduced hours, are you shopping, having home delivery, purchasing carry out, living off your preps or a combination of everything above.

If working and, or venturing out into the community are you taking any precautions?

I'm still purchasing to replenish what we consume as well as fresh (packaged) produce. I don't want to compromise the amount of time we can stretch out our preps in the event that the supply chain breaks down.

I take precautions (washing, sanitizing, gloves, masks, separation, shop off hours, and minimize time in the store).

    I follow these precautions:

When I feel lazy I watch this for motivation:

Mrs. 3M is at a high risk for mortality from SARS-CoV-2. I can survive a mistake, but she can't.

Some preps can be advanced - for example fuel prices have dropped significantly. Take advantage of any ethical opportunity.

Between my preps, and being able to order some food and paper products via Amazon, I am in good shape. Only two people visit, my sister and a neighbor friend up the road. They each come once a week, but with no physical contact. So far we are all doing well.

Still going out with limited precautions. My county has (so far) only one infection. However, people are taking the 6 foot rule pretty seriously.

Frequent hand (and face) washing happening here at the house, especially after going into the public. Wipes, particularly grocery trolleys AND STEERING WHEEL!! along with the occasional door handle. I'm going the replacements route, use one buy one or buy one, use one. I don't want to go below minimums. Very definately dropped the ball on flour and yeast; breads are in short supply at the groceries.

TP is generally out of stock. (Off brand TP is available if rolls of industrial sandpaper and wax paper fit your needs.) One thing we see up here is rolls of TP being used along with cash tips for service as in deliveries of whatever.

Very few masks in use other than in pharmacies, and even then not all that diligent. Masks are not available in any outlets I've found thus far. I have a very few that I got years ago for woodworking projects, am holding them back against future needs. Gloves are unobtainable locally. We are seeing people stealing wipes from the various stores, they aren't on the shelves for purchase.

Nothing has really changed here. I'm still home 99% of the time and Sass goes in to work Mon-Fri. As we need we go shopping as is our norm(Early Sunday mornings). As long as we can we will use what we have here and replenish as needed. We use Amazon/Sam's home delivery as much as possible.

We bugged out, Dad is high risk, so were not taking chances! Were doing just fine, the preps are holding, and were not even into the stash, and likely wont be for several weeks at the worst!

    Normal for the most part.
I'm working from home - more hours as I seem to fill up the time I'd normally commute with additional work. Oh well...
Food and other supplies are holding well: 180+ pounds of various meats in the big freezer, haven't touched the backup dry goods, paper crap, err, crap paper, is fine. I still go out very early Sunday AM, timed to be at the market as the doors open. I do keep a pack of disinfectant wipe on the truck console, taking one into the store assuming their dispenser is empty. Wipe down cart handles, keep my distance, and move like the wind. I'll have a list and know where everything on the list is. In-store round trip is usually under 15 minutes. Wipe my card and hands at checkout, load into the bed area, not passenger compartment, and wipe down hands, handles, controls before taking off. Same routine at home after handling bags and putting stuff away.
What I DO find amazingly stupid was Lowe's this past Sunday: I had a@#$%$! PEX fitting break under the house, and a size I didn't have. (HINT: Check your maint & repair stash!!!). So off to Lowe's - place was frigging mobbed with "spring-is-in-the-air" idiots acting like there's nothing special going on.....

Going on to my second week of exile from the family. Still no toilet paper in the store. I get mine with the apartment from work. Have plenty of meat, soup, bread and chips and thank goodness salsa and Sriracha!!

Personal precautions take on a greater meaning for me, something I stress with others I work with, there is far greater ramifications for being careless when out in public. Just the same, personal protection should be upper most in every ones minds when away from the fort! Being aware of what others are doing and how they are acting should be in the forefront of our awareness. Who is hacking and coughing and are they spraying down the store shelves with every cough and sneeze. What are they touching with those snot encrusted paws and what are you touching after them?

Yup, being exiled from the family isn't so great. Being exiled from suburbia hell is great! Have a food n housing on the edge of a cow pasture and a group of shut ins is not so bad. Have been stocking up on can foods for a while for, well, you all know, just in case..

ditch witch I do stupid crap, so you don't have to

I had to go to Sam's Club this morning. Ok I didn't HAVE to go, but anyway. Wore gloves, mask, 9mm, carried a can of lysol and a thing of Clorox wipes. Everything a girl could need. Wiped everything down in store before I put it in my lysol sprayed, Clorox wiped cart, all went to the alreafy disinfected trunk, got wiped and sprayed at home in garage as well. Me and the car included. I feel like a frakking hypochondriac wiping and spraying everything. And I don't want to hear any crap about how this or that doesn't really work. It's my paranoia party, dammit.

Probably half the people in the store wore gloves, a quarter had on some sort of mask. Then there were the ones with free range kids running around touching everything and picking their noses.

Took advantage of the cheap gas and filled the car plus 1 spare tank. Wiped the keypad, gas handle, my credit card, pretty much anything my blue gloved mitts touched.

Still no TP in the stores. We have 14 rolls and 1 pack of xl booty wipes left, so about 2 months worth still. Other than paper products though most of the stuff was in stock, albeit limited in some cases.

My amazon order of hibiclens placed three weeks ago is supposed to arrive tomorrow. Hope so, am almost out. Still have a half gallon of chlorhexidine 2% for veterinary use though. (nope, make that Saturday now)

Two nights ago a former coworker of mine was in a car accident. They think he had a heart attack while driving. Car went off the road and slammed into something and he died. AFAIK they cant hold a funeral now. No one really knows wtf is going on. Also another friend and neighbor is sick AF. Some kind of flu it sounds like but its still upper respiratory so far.

    Interesting times.

Plenty of bread available, no dry beans! No tp on the shelves. Plenty of meat and canned goods. About half the people, me included, were wearing masks.

To our horror we discovered that we only had 4 lb of peanut butter on hand!!!!!

OMG - so, next time we are out, I'll pick up a couple - shelf life don't ya know.

No problems finding bulk produce, oranges and tomatoes.. Folks out int he MatSu valley report spot shortages of things, but that isn't all that extraordinary.

However, there is sti zero balance on flour everywhere we've looked. We like to mix some cake flour in with the freshly ground whole wheat to get it rise a bit more. Otherwise, life goes on///

We be good. Wife and I both can work from home so no hit to income. Wife insisted I count TP rolls in our storage, over a years worth, none of it is less than a year old. Only incursion into the long term food stores so far was for wheat to bake bread. Made 1 trip to town at 7:30 Sunday morning during their senior hour for groceries and filled the 100 gal gas tank. With fuel points from buying some amazon gift cards paid $0.67 per gal. Couldn’t pass that up. Put groceries in back of truck then at home they went straight into the ozone box to be sanitized. We stripped down and then ozoned clothes and masks and showered. Hopefully we got in and out uninflected. We are thinking maybe one trip every couple weeks. Even the mail gets ozoned. A close buddy told me a former coworker of his died this morning from the china virus. Hitting a bit closer.
    Stay safe out there.

Home Depot is the same way...went there today and they were busier than the grocery store.....scary to think a project might cause me to get the bug....LOL.

I got into trouble for doing an opportunity buy on a large crunch peanut butter....the Mrs declared she don't like crunchy.... I smiled and said more for me. I am still getting the sideways look when she notices it in the pantry!!

We are doing an elderberry shot a day.... mixed with local honey.....look it up and see the benefits.
Went to the grocery store today and resupplied on a few perishable items, first time in a week. We had gloves on and de-coned when we got back to the rig, and again after we got home...and one more time after everything was put away....bout all you can do.
Home Depot to resupply on home remodel project supplies...place was a zoo...they made us self check-out. Last time we will go there in a while.... cesspool at this time.
We have not dipped into any stored supplies or food, except for the M95 mask and gloves I pulled out. Plan on going through the stash tomorrow and pulling out a few other items. We have a beef delivery tomorrow, so our meat supplies are being re-stocked, not touching the freezer at this time other than normal rotation.
Fortunately, our office is 100% shut-down and we are encouraged to work from home.... we will see how long that goes. I am one of the few that has active essential projects ongoing... so I think I have work to do for the coming future. Time will tell, my client is starting to have manpower issues, due to "safety".
Other than that, the Mrs. is creating as many projects as she can to keep busy... and me as well.... [beer]

Thanks. He was a much loved sherriff for a county a few counties over. Everyone liked him, so it's a real shock. Just found out they're going to have a funeral but family only, all others asked to remain in their cars in the parking lot.

The Mrs. and I are both still working...I have only lost a half hour/day, but I just take a shorter lunch. Wife is salaried, so her reduced hours don't affect her pay.

Our Home Depot was deserted yesterday, but still had manned checkouts open. Local welding supply was only taking orders over the phone..offshore hydraulic supply was still busy. Foreman there thought I was looking for a job at first...I'm guessing they've had several looking?

Bread, milk and tp are slowly making a comeback to the once-depleted shelves but eggs are still a rare commodity...at least in the stores.

Not really changing much, just maintaining good hygiene practices...and avoiding other folks more than before.

At the BOL. Brought supplies with from the Big City, but decided to pick up some more yesterday in the nearest town (60 miles one way). Nowhere near touching the preps.

Brought my own wipes to the stores and wiped down shopping cart handles. After getting back to the truck, wiped down door handles, steering wheel, gearshift, and radio.

Topped up with Diesel in the truck and filled a couple 5 gallon jugs, and another 5 gallon can with gas for the generator. Also filled a 100lb propane tank. I keep 2 on hand. Made my way back to the travel trailer at the BOL.

Most electrical power is supplied via solar, but have had a couple of stormy and overcast days and I don't like to run the batteries too low, so I use the generator when necessary.

Been here 10 days. Retired so no job, but I got called up for Jury Duty on the 14th. Can't believe they're doing that. Pretty ignorant of them.

Try looking in the ethnic food section....for chickpea / Besan Flour.

What Is Chickpea Flour—And How Do I Use It?

    Chickpea flour

There are other alternatives to wheat flour which may be found in niche health food sections of supermarkets and health food shops. The herd may not yet identified them as alternatives to wheat flour.
