Early last week, pharmacist Steve Kirkland was working late into the night when he heard loud noises coming from the front of his drug store in St. George, Utah.

“I took my headphones out and could hear something moving around. I thought, ‘Is there somebody in here?’” Kirkland told local news affiliate ABC4. “Then I heard another crack and realized someone was trying to get in the door.”

Kirkland did what any reasonable law-abiding gun owner would do, retrieve his pistol and call 911. He then went to investigate the situation.

What he found was three men bearing crowbars breaking through the front door. They got as far as the safe before he confronted them.

“I was pointing this gun at this dude’s head, and I’m on this 911 call. I’m thinking, ‘How do you guys not see me? Every light in this place is on,’” Kirkland said.

Yelling loudly scared the three men off, explained Kirkland. Thankfully, for the perps’ sake, there was no need to discharge his sidearm.

By cautiously following them out the door as they fled the scene, Kirkland was able to give police a description of the men along with the vehicle’s make and model. A fourth individual was behind the wheel, according to police.

"Calif residents" but mostly likely hood rats from Las Veges.

I written more than once that when pickings get slim or things get to hot in Da City, the rats head for the countryside.

200, armed robber tried a local pharmacy (Greenville, TN) few years back, and the pharmacy tech at the counter shot him on the spot. No more attempted robberies since.

"Susong Pharmacy in Greeneville usually welcomes the sound of a person entering the store, but not lately. The pharmacy has been robbed twice in the last few months and employees have had enough. 'I hated it happened, but he asked for it in my opinion,' a store employee who asked to remain anonymous said. Police say an armed man entered the store wearing a ski-mask this afternoon, went to the front, and demanded hydrocodone. An unnamed pharmacy technician says the man confronted her. 'It was like deja vu, being that I was just robbed by what looked like the same gentleman back on December 27th,' the woman said. 'He thought he was going to walk in, walk back out, and he was very surprised. He got a little bit more than he asked for.' The woman says her co-worker pulled out her gun and fired a warning shot at the man. She says the first round didn't phase the robber, but the second did. She says the bullet hit the man in his chest and before the robber made it out, the employee fired one more shot."

What is wrong here is that the Pharmacist caught them red-handed and yet he couldn't shoot them down. This might sound a bit blood thirsty but...it would put a stop to a lot of thievery as a hard deterrent and certainly those criminals wouldn't break the law again. Even in Idaho, we are not allowed to fire unless life is threaten and personally I think that is wrong.

Certainly would in St George. Stick out like a neon sign....

    St. George Demographics
According to the most recent ACS, the racial composition of St. George was:

    • White: 88.48%
    • Other race: 4.30%
    • Two or more races: 2.75%
    • Native American: 1.46%
    • Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander: 1.31%
    • Asian: 0.89%
    • Black or African American: 0.82%

I respectfully disagree. The owner, smartly IMO, chose to shout and (happily) the trio beat feet.

They were later arrested by the local PeeDee types.

Had the owner shot these thugs, he likely would have been in court for years over "wrongful death' lawsuits brought the pack of left wing/Cal lawyers that infest the AO. Not that they would have any expectation to win, but rather, that they would ruin the owner in court costs. Losing party does not pay in Ut.

These folks play at full-contact unrestricted lawfare.- with too many other folks willing to pick up their (lefty) tab - seeing it as "Social Just-us."

I'd be willing to bet all the thugs pictured were out on parole anyway.

Oh--I just noticed, this took place in Saint George Utah?!
I doubt all of the above that you posted.

    He is in Utah--not California.
He could have shot them all several times--reloaded and shot them again.
Then he could have dragged them out into the parking lot, doused them with gasoline and set them ablaze.
They he could have danced around their burning bodies like a wild animal wringing his hands gleefully.
Then posted this on Youtube for all to see.

And when the Saint George police showed up with the Utah Patrol--they would have pinned medal on him.
Then the town would have paraded him down main street to the Temple like Caesar Augustus.

Then when these rats parents and BLM showed up to protest--the entire town would have run them across the state line.
Then when some BLM shyster showed up in court to file a lawsuit--the judge there would have laughed them out of the building.

That's what I would have done.

If you haven't guessed it--I don't give a screw about BLM, their cause, or their complaints anymore... not after all the rioting and looting and black-on-white violence that is transpiring.

I used to give a screw--but not anymore.
In fact I am heading into the negative numbers on how many screws I give about them.

You will note the racial makeup of the rats involved in this breakin.
They came from California and into Utah thinking the whitey's there will be an easy pushover for them.

    Wrong!

Now thankfully they will spend about 5 years in prison in that nice holding pen near Spanish Fork.

There a lots of these blunt-smoking, 40 oz malt liquor swilling, porch-dwelling, hood-rats of these types in Vegas.
Be very careful where you tread when visiting that city.

FWIW - I lived in LAs Vegas for many years. We fled in 91 and have not looked back.

I recently sold my acreage in Utah because it has become invested with the (use your own word here) from Cali.

Cop got shot in Delta (Millard Co.) couple of years back, by a well known gang-banger that the local/county/state fuzz refused to do anything about, despite ample evidence of being a felon in possession. So, no, the cops would not have pinned a metal on the guy.... In case you missed it, the mayor of SLC is both openly gay and supports this sort of nonsense.

Sadly, Alaska has become fully infected with the same California disease. As soon as my DW retires, we are seeking safer ground - where that might be is an open question at this point.

The only safe ground you will find is on the moon--and not for long BTW.
FYI--the whole of the Utah Valley has become despoiled over the last 40 years.
This is because of the Mormon-Mafia developers who have come in with their strip malls and chain-stores.
And by Mormon-Mafia I mean the like of Mitt Romney.
Just look at Orem Utah.... jeeze!
It's one chain-store after the other.
And the gangs moved in to central SLC as well.
Go west of the interstate and you are in Indian Country.

We purchase a home in Japan a year and a half ago--and am planning on retiring there.
Japan is a safe country. No street crime. No gang shootings. Little overt violence.
And when it does happen--it makes national news.
Stuff that transpires here which does not make the news, makes national headlines there.

Don't worry there is still a lot of covert crime in Japan as well as constant police activities.

Just consider it is a well walked and controlled prison with out obvious walls.
