TOTM August 2020... Covid, the Sequel!

Me? Personally?
I avoid crowds anyways, and never come within kissing range of non-family members in an any case. The moment our .gov tyrants say we can stop with the masks I will. Until then it's under duress, and only when I must.
Covid's just an especially nasty flu variant that will be around until enough of the susceptible population either dies off or acquires some level of immunity. Nothing will change that. The highly touted seasonal flu vaccines aren't particularly effective, and any vaccine developed for covid won't be either. All viruses mutate too quickly.

 

I feel the virus will mostly dissipate about Nov 4th ,, if the Dems steal the election. If they fail to steal it ,, then itll get worse , more masks , face shields and condoms for everyone. Plus mucho more Russian influence, impeachments , racist, facists , blabber. But ,, if Trump wins ,, this rioting , burning and looting will get squashed pretty quickly I believe.
And ,, I don't wear a mask either ,, only if its strictly required ,, but in those cases ,, they have to give me one ,, because I don't carry one. I walk all around and it looks like everybody's walking around with a jockstrap on their mug.

 

It'll be around as long as the common cold...you know, the other coronavirus.
No cold vaccine exists that I know of.

As far as preparing for it...nope. Eat well, practice good sanitation, and we didn't go out much before this started.

 

What concerns me more than bat flu is how people are reacting towards each other over how they handle the whole mask situation. There's too many videos to list of people who have been punched, screamed at, pepper/wasp/bear sprayed, and had hot coffee thrown on them for not wearing one. In NJ a woman told another to wear a mask, and got her leg broken for it by the one who was wearing her surgical mask on her chin. Granted she was old AF and her leg broke when she was knocked over but it never should have happened in the first place.

Meanwhile a Covid-19 Health Passport is on the horizon. I don't think the world is planning to let go of this means of control any time soon.

I rarely leave the house, much less leave my county that's had 6 total cases since the start and a 100% recovery rate. The Mr, OTOH, works in a facility with around 3000 other people and they've had several cases. We've both come down with a 24 hour mini flu like illness, both shook it easily. If it WAS the sweet 'n sour sniffles it wasn't even worth a sneeze. We wear a mask if we HAVE to go into a store (they're all getting obnoxious about it now), but mostly we make use of curbside pickup. If Home Depot wants to load up 80 concrete stepping stones for me for free, sign me up!

Even if it goes away magically on election results day, there will always be a Covid-20 to trot out on down the road.

 

Most know what I do for my FRN's and have not stopped working through this, um, well, epidemic. Have to have a mask on at work but will not use one outside of work. Confession, I do have to get some groceries in this socialist state I work in, so, I pop one on and grab the only what I need and do my stocking up over in the land of the free.

Here at work, this has been the lightest flue season I have ever seen. Folks have only had some sniffles back in the fall. Even the ones that are very susceptible to any bad bug's drifting by, have not been sick. And still, corporate ((located in the more enlightened part of the state) keeps coming up with more "precautions" for the staff to implement.

 

I just wear a mask when shopping or to the doctor's office. People are freaking out. and the worse is yet to come.

 

I'm screwed. In Alaska, to visit the rest of The World (or the Land of the Big PX) I must fly or drive thru Canada. Right now, that drive isn't possible as the border is closed.


Media driven hysteria + Hate the Orange Man will hold sway until the folks behind all of this sh1t are locked up.

 

I had someone nastily point out that I was a prick if I didn't wear a mask because the mask keeps droplets and stuff from spreading away and infecting others. But they admitted that it won't stop the virus. I went to the store and it was mostly tourists who didn't wear a mask.
Here's my take so far. I read some articles talking about taking Zinc and Quercetin. The Quercetin does something else to help you fight off Viruses. I remember Zinc being good for you and I noticed the expensive stuff they sell for heading off a cold is mostly zinc. I take Moringa capsules as a vitamin. I normally take a light dose of Zinc but when I am going to the store I take all three of these together before I leave. I feel this helps boost my immune system. Or it makes me think it does. Putting Quercetin and Zinc to fight a virus in your search engine gives you a lot of info on this. They mention taking this with hydroxychloroquine was said to be really good.

 

I get it all of Amazon. The Moringa is from Paisly Farms 500MG capsules. I buy whatever Zinc has the right price and quality. The same with Quercetin. I tried today to get Hydroxychloroquine and my doctor wouldn't give me a script.

 

I got called last night by middle brother, who told me my dad has the bat flu. I relayed that tidbit to my dead youngest brother's widow, who told me she just got back from Los Angeles/San Diego where she was visiting her two boys/my nephews and their wives and they ALL have it. The Cali crowd likely caught it from one of the wives who is an RN working in one of the LA hospitals. All of them are rabid social distance warriors who never leave the house without a mask. So far no one has experienced anything worse than wicked headaches and severe fatigue.

The RN niece-in-law (is that a title?) said likely everyone on the planet is going to catch it before the year ends, and most will just shrug it off within a few days.

@Big Ron what did your Dr say when you asked for the hydrochlo? Besides no. I'm curious if he was dismissive of the idea or apologetic that he couldn't do it.

Am I the only one who lights up like a cooked lobster if I take zinc? Feels like I'm on fire and I turn beet red, lasts for an hour or so.

 

When I take zinc I don't even notice it. Niacin makes me feel itchy and red. My doctor started citing evidence that Hydro had side effects. I think maybe the place where he works came up with this response. I've since read that zinc and quercetin work well by themselves. I see hydro offered online from Europe. I'm not so trusting of it though.

 

What side effects did he say the hcq had? The “heart issue” that has killed zero people in the 70+ years it has been used to treat malaria? It might be time for a new doctor.

 

I don't remember it all but it sounded like a memorized speech his bosses told him to say. I did tell him I won't be taking some new vaccine developed in a rush by Bill Gates's friends. He just looked at me like he has heard this from many people. I've taken the hydro stuff as a precaution when coming back from Asia. A week or two, it's been a while. I only remember it tasted bad.

 

I'm building a house for a guy now that told me today , his mom is in a nursing home Her doctor had her on a light dose of Hcq just as a preventive. He said he talked with her on Monday and she was fine. Our stupid ass state governor put a cease and desist order out statewide to stop using Hcq. The home she is in has had a few Covid deaths ,, and as many as 40 residents testing positive for Covid. The nursing home quit giving it to her on Wednesday,, today ,, they're not sure if she's going to make it thru the night. Why in the hell would you ban a medicine that has been proven to work ,, and has hurt no one who has taken it. It has helped far more people than it has hurt.
I know this tho. If my mom was still alive , and in a home ,, and this same situation happened,, things would not work out well for me or that sombitch. This makes absolutely no sense to me.

 

If her doctor prescribed it and the nursing home stopped it and she dies from covid her family should sue the nursing home and the state governor for medical malpractice by overriding her doctor’s orders.

 

There are a lot of different ways to look at the beer virus and what happened when the shutdowns were done. It could be a test to see how compliant people are. I also found it strange listening to Poulosi and Trump both talking about all the money available to them. Trillions. Trump even mentioned something about using the military to administer the vaccine in his speech when he signed off on more spending. Fun Times!
