New member from Pac. NW rural area.

Hi to the Monkeys. We live rurally in the coast range and wife and I both grew up in the country. We can food, raise animals, do our irrigating, hunt, tinker with cars and other equipment, have a good life, and wish we were younger. We lean to the conservative, (quite heavily), and fear where the country is headed. I stumbled on this forum a few weeks ago and was impressed with the civility of the members and lack of aholes and snarky posts. I monkey with old diesel water cooled slow turning gen sets and hope to learn from some of you. I will listen a lot more than post and look forward to the journey. Cheers.

We're for the most part pretty close in terms of mindset. Although squabbles occasionally erupt, members tend to rely on factual data and/or physical, real-world experiences in favor of "feelings" or emotions to support their side of an argument.

I guess that's one of the main things that differentiates conservatives from liberals.

900 rpm is Cooper-Bessmer is 900 rpm early ones doing 50Hz , Vivians also were 900 rpm @ 60 Hz.

Hi; At present Lister 650 rpm. single--couple of changfas, Isuzu 3cyl. I like them all and we are on the worlds worst utility for outages. I will eventually learn how to correspond in this forum. Appreciate the cordial welcomes.
