I am out running the roads today and I listen to AM talk radio. It usually raises my blood pressure and helps keep me awake. I was listening to Sean Hannity this Afternoon and he said something that still has me shaking my head.

A liberal caller called in and was saying how Huckabee was soft on illegal immigration and raised taxes when Governer of Arkansas, but now is running as a conservative, tough on illegals,no new tax candidate.

Hannity's response left me dumbfounded. He said quote" ALL of the Republican candidates (of course he doesn't count RP) have flip flopped on issues for political expediency. BUT, not as bad as Hillary."

So let me get this straight. ALL, according to him, of the candidates ( with the exception of Ron Paul of course) support whatever policy or program is popular at the time. They ALL, are lying, backtracking, flip-flopping, prostiticians, BUT, theyr'e better than Hillary! My God!!!
I can't believe I am hearing this. What is this country coming to?

But on the other hand, that is probably the truest statement I ever heard that idiot say. I wonder if the temperature is dropping in Hell?

Yep flip-flopping is just to be expected. They are all the same no better no worse. (RP is not to be included in this statement of course)

Hannity irritates me more than almost any other radio talkinghead. I can deal with Rush's ego, used to get a kick out of G.Gordon, and really liked Ken Hamblin [when he was still on] but something just...arrgggg!:mad:pi**ess me off about Hannity.

And the one time he let a Ron Paul caller come on to ask a question, he calls the guy [and RP] a kook and totaly blows off a legitimate Republican canditate.

Maybe that is his way of saying that HE thinks they are all scumbags.

Initially I liked hannity now his shallow ambush interview stylejust makes me choke. I' m no liberal defender but evey time he gets some embarassing question that makes a valid he point. his response is"well do you support the peoplewho killed 3,000 americans??"
Well uh er"
SEAN WHAT ABOUT BLDG 7, IT WAS NOT HIT BY AN AIRPLANE?
"Do YOU support the people who killed 3,00 americans?"
"Er...WELL of course not.."
"GETOFF MY PHONE YOU BIG DOPE!!"
Compelling debate.

They all raise my blood pressure too much. I used to like to listen to Neal Boortz a lot, and when I get a chance, I still like to listen to Dennis Prager.

Don't I wish. Hannity seems to sincerely want to have Giuliani's baby. [FF]

A full year before the first primaries, he was already assuring us that only his man could possibly win. "A vote for anyone else is a half a vote for Hillary." As I see it, a half a vote for a socialist isn't much different than a full vote for half a socialist.

Personally, I'd rather have someone I can trust, with whom I disagree on every issue, than someone who'll tell me whatever I want to hear. There are only two major party candidates in this race who's principals can be reasonably counted on. Paul, and Kucinich. In my mind, those are the ONLY two choices. A Constitutionalist, and a socialist. That's a pretty easy decision to make.

I think President Hillary would be far less harmful to this country than President Giuliani. At least with Hillary, we'd know we had a socialist in office....

I'm with y'all on Hannity. I've never heard him debate. Only talk over someone and raise some stupid question in order to shift the topic of conversation.

I hardly listen to anyone anymore. O'Reilly at times. Lars Larson out of Portland, Oregon, is by far my favorite.

I'd almost rather listen to Colmes than Hannity though.

Hannity is like the rest of the overpaid critics, they spew their filth and have little, if any, understanding of what the average American family is thinking or enduring. Give me forums like this with the freedom to speak our minds and actually be heard over the one sided, 'listening only' option of guys like Hannity any day of the week. Allowing people to call in and giving us the privilege to talk to them during call in times is just a way they have of appeasing their sad, tender little selves.

I'd vote for Hillary before I would Giuliani, scary as that sounds, RG in office scares the hell out of me. It would be like GWB again only at a higher level.

Either way we would be getting a cross-dresser in office. ;)

Colmes used to have his own radio show about 15 years or so ago, it was actually very intertaining..... and it was nice to have something other than hardcore right wingers to listen too, even though I was much more conservative back then.

PLEASE don't get the impression that I'd ever vote for Hillary though! But I'd never vote for Giuliani either.

I'm most likely voting for Ron Paul in the primaries and, if he doesn't make it, I'll probably cast my vote for the Libertarian Party candidate for the November election again, as usual....

And I can't really handle Colmes either, to be honest!

No, If Hillary and Rudy were the only choices I wouldn't bother going out to vote for either..... come to think of it, I won't bother going out to vote for anyone except Ron Paul, or if a Libertarian candidate had a decent shot at it.

I just found out Colmes still has a radio show.... I hadn't heard it in years.

When I vote Libertarian, I do not have any expectation at all that they could actually win.

What I DO expect when I cast my vote is that the Republican Party will see the Libertarians gaining votes while they continue to lose some. As much as those monkeys watch polls and trends, I figure voting 3rd party candidates will eventually steer the major party toward that ideology (i.e., the U.S. Constitution!)

But I'm absolutely DONE with the GOP. I mean, Bush is considerably left of JFK. And Giuliani is way left of Bush. Where's this going?!
