Wife and I attended the Ron Paul rally last night in Greenville, SC along with about 800-900 other very enthusiastic supporters and after Dr. Paul spoke, he took the time to greet anyone that stood in line to meet him.....unbelievable.....there were 500-600 that did so, we stood in line for 30 minutes and were in about the first 1/3 of the line......I don't know HOW this guy does 3 rallies in one day and has the stamina to spend the time to do this.... ANYWAY, when we got our turn to meet him, I gave him one of the one ounce silver rounds we had made over at Goldismoney.info and told him he could stick it in his sock drawer or put it in the campaign. He looked at it, said he would look at it closer later when he had his glasses on, and thanked me for it. Wife, I think, got a picture of me handing it to him, and when she gets out of bed, I'll try to post it. Very enjoyable evening, even though we didn't get home until after midnight.
JC.....I think I can find a 'few' of 'em..... Front side: (side Dr. Paul is looking at in the pic ) Flip side: Not hawking these, but I think AMPEX.com metals dealer still has some of these left if you guys are interested in them....we had the dies custom made over at GIM for this and one other round, but I don't know how many they minted or are left. May be some, may not....dunno.
Well, you guys examine these two different 5's ( yes....please excuse the portrait of the tyrant in the center....that's ANOTHER thing I'd remove as SecTreas ).... The first one is one the govt prints and sells to the FED for 2 cents per note ( any denomination from 1-100) and the FED then lends back into the banking system OR to the govt at interest. So WE print them.....sell them to a private bank.....WHO then charges US interest for the privilege of using them. Cool deal....if you own the bank. Now let's examine what we COULD be printing instead of "Federal Reserve Notes".....look at the top of the note....it says "United States Note". The same Treasury dept that prints FED notes COULD print US Notes, and we would NOT PAY any interest to a private bank to put these in circulation. THIS was exactly what John Kennedy did ( see the 1963 date on this bill ? ) by executive order......he said "No more paper for the FED".....of course, a few months later, he was in a box.....and now you know WHY. DON'T get me wrong.....I'm NOT a big fan of un-backed fiat paper money.....BUT DAMNIT, if you're GONNA PRINT THE STUFF ANYWAY, doesn't it make sense to do it FOR THE PEOPLE rather than FOR A BANKER ??
