    Ingredients:
      • 3 cups all-purpose flour
      • 1 Tbsp baking powder
      • 1 tsp kosher salt
      • ¼ cup granulated sugar
      • 1 can (12 oz) beer
      • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

    Instructions:

    • Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease 9x5-inch loaf pan and line bottom of pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Using as few strokes as possible, mix in the beer until moistened.
    • Pour thick batter into loaf pan. Drizzle melted butter over the top.
    • Bake for 50 minutes, remove from oven and cool in pan 5 minutes.
    • ITs a bit crumbly but a great alternative if you dont have any yeast.

Bread? You are killing me. I'm busting my tail trying to drop the Covid-20 and now I want to try this bread. Maybe I can work it in with my new fitness program. For every beer I do two minutes of planks, 40 squats or 35 USMC ammo can lifts. For a slice of bread I'll have to get on the shoe leather express and run down to the stop sign and back.

I have yeast, but I also have stouts, bitters, ales, and porters to try. Maybe that seven year old Genny Light would work? It's a bit off, and I sure don't want to drink any more, but for bread making it might be just the ticket. ;)

I've had beer bread before and it's really tasty!

Thanks, Ganado! I've sent the recipe to my wife.

I use three cups self-rising flour, a can of beer, a stick of butter, a pinch of salt, and a cup of molasses. It holds together better and the molasses gives it a nice sweetness and dark color.

So you are giving her more work to do? Hm. Coroner's gonna say it was a severe impact wound to the head with a blunt object.

Well,, i made the bread , it was pretty good,, i liked it. I may have put in to much beer,, you said 1 beer ,, im assuming you meant 1 12oz beer. All i had was 16 oz beer's. I didnt put it all in , but i may have put in a little to much. The bread was good , outer crust was hard all the way around,, the inside was done , but a little gooey,, but was good ,, and a little heavy on the gut. But I believe all that was wrong with this bread ,, was my fault ,, i will try adjusting my ingredients and try again. Thanks Ganado,, recipes like this are good for me,, as im the only one eating,, its good to have small portion recipes so im not wasting a lot,, i may try cutting this one in half and see how it comes out. @SB21 cant wait to hear how the smaller bread experiment/testing goes =)

chemically speaking i think the beer just adds flavor and some air so the bread isnt as dense as baking soda bisquits but the value of saying you made 'beer bread' for a topic of conversation is invaluable :p:D
