Monina Klevens." --------------------------------------------------- Scary huh?! This is along my lines of thinkin'.... so we staaaaaaaaaaay far faaaaaaaaaaaaaar awaaaaaaaay. Most people think they are doin' themselves good, but we prefer to maintain ourselves. Self-healing (from what's around you/what you have) is something many more should learn about to become more "independant" Just my 2 cents... as I truly wish more people could "really free themsleves from the inferior $$money$$ making system". ~W~ P.S.- This is just something I thought I'd post to INSPIRE & GIVE INCENTIVE to those of you who may need it!
There is very little that can be done for a patient in a hospital that can't be done at home by a family-member with any kind of medical background at all. O2, IVs, injections, nebulizer treatments, and good nursing care can all be done in a home setting which is much less costly and much safer for the patient.
Like I tell my kids: We don't go to the hospital because it's full of sick people. Think about it; they're not all hanging out there cuz it's the funnest place in town.
The one year I worked in a hospital, I got sick like 5 times....... glad it wasn't anything that don't wash off. And I'll never do it again.
I think hospitals have thier place as far as truama units and emergency medicine. Like losing an arm or a bad car accident. But thats it. Even then it is only because that is the only place to go for such treatment. Hospitals are businesses and nothing else IMO.
beats the basement and wooden stick between the teeth for surgery. But I understand your point..I don'tthink most of "us" drop into the ER for cuts ,sniffles and "Uh,I gotta rash, can Ii see a male doctor?"....well maybe the rash , I don't take chances with the plumbing.[nothome]
A year ago when I needed 3 pints of blood yea I could see telling the wife to do it. Maybe use the dog as the donor and do it in the living room. I hate hospitals - if you want to get sick stay in one, but when you gotta go you gotta go.

I had MRSA in 2006....methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus....The disease they are just now "discovering"..and I hadn't been in a hospital in many years.... What I did have, was an open cut on my arm....and hugged an old friend, who had Staph, and didn't know it.... I spent a lot of time, money ..and subsequent surgeries getting rid of active MRSA... I understand that hospitals are full of sick people....but it's not always hospitals you need to worry about...Sometimes it's the man/woman you shake hands with, or the old friend you give a hug too... MRSA, and now VRSA, is being called an "epidemic" in this country... I tried every homeopathic remedy, and natural antibiotics , to get rid of it.....I now make sure I have a supply of Bactrim, and also Bactroban, on hand....My Dr is very understanding about these things.....(Thank God! ) Also, hibiclens...It has been tested, and validated, to kill at least 11 strains of MRSA, including the 300 strain that has been active in the community ..(as opposed to hospitals)
I understand that there are two kinds of MRSA, one that is topical and one that goes deep, is that VRSA?
I whole-heartedly agree, hospitals are most often best avoided, except in cases of emergency. On national news last night, they somehow tied this into "Mad Cow Disease", actually CJD, not the best article but, the situation was enough to close all operating rooms for several hours in Wisconsin, while they disinfected surgical instruments with 100 % bleach, then the usual sterilization process on top of it. Infectious brain disease. MRSA is Methycillin Resistant and VRSA is Vancomycin Resistant...(Vanco is an antibiotic they used to treat MRSA with....)
