I don't appreciate Rambo like I did when I was younger...... but hell, it's Rambo... ya gotta see it.

Just got back, this one is more realistic than the others. He still kicks butt but not the single uber-super-soldier-God vs the world. This time other people get to kick butt too. The movie is low on character development, high on gratuitous violence but in the old movie style like indiana jones. Quite worth the money paid.

Of course if this is anywhere near what reality is in Burma (mynamar) a whiteboy walking in the middle of compton shouting racial slurs while covered in cash would be much safer. Too bad they don't have oil or we would be there to "save" them.

    A geriatric Rambo

; gotta be a few laughs even with the high body-count. David Morrel is one of m favorite authors. First Blood (Rambo) was an excellent book that broke my heart when John Rambo's mentor, Colonel Traut, held him in his arms and shot him in the head at the end of the book. Kinda hard to have a Rambo ll, lll, lV, etc. whent the hero was killed as a central part of the story in the one and only book.

Au contraire.... Stalone looked to be in great shape. He looks the same as before just bigger. Kinda looks more like the way arnold used to look. Lol, Ramnan or Conbo. (rambo conan mix)

Lol, no he still can't talk.

I forgot though another reason the movie is more realistic. The stunts. Life is cheap in thailand. The movie stunts there are on the ragged edge. The stunts are the type that really beat the stuntmen up break bones etc. Life is cheap so they use real flamethrowers. Here the "flamethrowers" use just propane gas for safety and shoots nothing like the real thing. Thailand life is cheap so they use the real deal, liquid hydrocarbons. Not sure what they shoot out but it is a stream it is liquid and burns like a mother. It misses the stuntmen by mere inches. I'm totally convinced that if that stuntman were to be just a tad slower or trip they would be toast. Gotta give credit to those stuntmen for sacrificing their life and limb for our entertainment pleasure. Asian stuntmen die on a very regular basis. Life is cheap.

It's not that life is cheap as much as Asians are cheap...and plentiful. ;)

I have to see this one. I liked the Rocky flick, it definitely wasn't the best in my opinion, but worth watching. The new Rambo is along the same line, I would think.

The new Indiana Jones is going to be fantastic, however.
