about a decade ago, i purchased a Benchmade auto - $160 or so - and LOST It
i was at a gun/knife show 5-6 years ago and picked up some chinese made automatics for $10 ea. - and i could care less if i lost them or not!

does anyone know where to find cheap automatics? i could use a few more, i just can't find them anywhere!

(for reference only) the guy i bought them had a business in las vegas called phil's fine cutlery - but i can't seem to find the business anywhere (maybe he went out of business!)

can anyone point me in the direction?

Check your local flea markets. I always see tons of cheap knives at just about every one I've been to.

they sell them in all the truckstops in Alabama. Not much use though except for posers and wanna-be hoods. SPend the money on a microtech.

I like the Ken Onion by Kershaw assisted openners for $45. Great blade, good steel,
holds an edge. I think it is a model 1550.

while i appreciate your opinion on a brand name, i can assure you i am no poser, and no wanna-be hood!
i like the autos for cutting open boxes and bags and tape and such while i'm working, and when i lost my benchmade, i was working and doing just that!
i will therefore never buy anything more than a $10 knife for a work purpose.

    anybody else???

i'd like to find someone that has them online if possible, i'm probably 70 miles or so from the closest swap meet or any other place that might have them, and driving all that way to hope they have them just isn't feasible at this time.

    TIA

Try ebay search for Microtech or paragon then go to the sellers store. They can't sell them anymore on eabay but still sell them through their catalog

keep the responses coming - i'm a true bargain shopper, so i'll hold out for a cheaper price - especially on something i DON'T need!

i tried theknifeauction.com and they seem to have a few, but like all auction sites, shipping kills the deal most of the time.

so keep this one alive - i'm sure i'm not the only one looking for a bargain "work" knife!

The Flea-market in Mobile always has bunches cheap. Let me know how many you want and were to send them.

do you happen to have any? i'd like to see if they look half way cool- i know i said cheap, but the ones i have at least look pretty cool for being way cheap!

I wanted to bring this back up, as I'm still looking for these inexpensive autos.

Does anyone else have any input on where to get decent size autos in the $5-$10 range? (excluding shipping of course!)
