Geez, everytime I hear news out of Britian it seems they've quietly given up yet another right to their government. I wonder if they'll EVER fight?

Interesting...... I do have to say that I don't think it's Liberalism.... I think it's meddling idiots, period. Mike Huckabee, conservative christian and anti smoker would do the same.

It passed in the town I worked in right before I moved up here. Pissed off a lot of business owners.

We have the Smokefree Workplace Law you can't smoke indoors except for a few exceptions; like bars, restaurants that don't allow minors, bowling alleys...

Recently, KC passed the NO Smoke anywhere laws. A picture was published of a woman pushing a baby in a stroller into a bar - which, now that it's "smoke free", is considered family-friendly and -safe. Ummmm, no. It's still a BAR. Babies do not belong in a bar.

Chalk one up for the Nanny State. First they let the tobacco companies totally pollute tobacco (which has its own health risks) with chemicals not only designed to addict the user but also are toxic - and lie about it for how many years without consequences. Then they say, well now that the companies have come clean, it's all peachy keen now. THEN they decide that smoking is bad for you so you can't do it anywhere someone else might inhale the smoke (which is notoriously toxic).

But that same government is still in bed with the tobacco companies who purposefully pollute tobacco with the toxic chemical dump to addict the users.......
