    THE JOB - URINE TEST

Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me.

I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.

In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem.

What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.

Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them?
Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their ___, doing drugs, while I work. . . .

Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check ?

Hope you all will pass it along, though . . . Something has to change in this country -- and soon!

Nice thought but it will never work because it makes sense

It really is a good idea though. They clean up their act or we save money...no downside that I can see.

The local news affiliate did a poll on this the other day...

91% voted it should be in place....

Not a bad idea, they get to make a choice, food or drugs. (And in some areas, a third choice, burgle. Or attempt to burgle and be unsuccessful.) I could vote for that.

Oh but then their poor children would be punished and you couldnt do that!

I love the idea but you know the libtards would never let it happen since it would be 'descrimination' and humiliating to make poor folks do that. Besides, being strung out on drugs is one of the many ways to qualify to have the working folks support them, after all if they are on drugs they are sick and disabled so we have to ake care of them. Have gimped legs and back from on the job injuries and you arent disabled 'enouph' even though you cant work (was the response someone close to me got when applying when both legs and feet are screwed due to untreated on the job injury), but be a junky and hop on the gravy train.

No Pee-tests here - YET. But it's probably coming. Being in the state's Edjucashun Sistum, they seem to want to look closely at us all - whether a teacher or just a worker bee like me.
I'd love to see the PTB tighten up on the Give-away system - make 'em prove they can't work, test for illegal substance (fail, and lose their bennies), be given a finite time to get an education for a decent job, then it's cut-off time!

But realistically - it ain't gonna happen! Not til we flush the Washington Toilet and get some real folks into power. Government should not be a 'profession' - it should be a duty.

I basicly agree BUT if you have to PROVE you CANT work then they just need to totaly do away with it. I got in a situation like that trying to get help in getting a job/training through the unemployment office. They basicly let me know I had to get letters from employers saying they would hire me for entry level jobs that I needed the documents to get when I got the documents. No place wants to tell a person they will hire them in 6 months when they dont know if they will need them then and if they arent hireing you they wont waste time on any similar letters. So since it had to be 'proven' that the documents were needed (beyond the simple statment in all the help wanted add that they are required) made sure that there was no way to get the hand up to get the jobs.

Basicly it can run into the problem of proveing a negative.

Just as a reminder.... the money that individuals recieve in welfare is a drop in the bucket compared to the corporate welfare and political skimming.

A lot of times we get angry with the "little guys" getting over on the system and forget who the real thieves and abusers of the system are.

I agree that A welfair recipiantdont take that big of a bite BUT when its a few MILLION welfare recipiants and each of them is getting as much JUST in food stamps and money as the working poor (the guy at the gas station or fast food joint) and generaly more then get the houseing and utitities and such on top of it and more money for each kid they pop out....now its not such a small drop any more AND it makes it more discusting to the guy strugeling to make it by WORKING. I know there has been plenty of my life when I have lived in the neighborhoods where I was just plain strange for working for a liveing because they were the places I could afford and I had less income and more bills to keep a lower standard of liveing that the folks on the dole. The corp. welfare needs to stop too but its less in your face and I doubt takes up as much money since I figure WELL over 95% of those on welfare should be made to work or starve since theres no reason most of them couldnt work other than choice not to.
