First off, TNZ71 love the avatar. Mad Max is what I vision in my mind when the SHTF.

AK or AR? I have not shot an AK though I have used a 16. I don't think if given a choice, I would go with the AR. I would want to eliminate the threat to me and mine as quick as possible.

There is a saying that a certain group of people I know use. "If it's worth shooting, it's worth shooting twice." And there is another one that a DS I know uses, "Shoot it until it changes form."

With the 16, I can see having to do so, though with the AK I can imagine that one shot would be enough. Not as fun mind you, just enough. I would rather have the MBZ go down and not get back up as opposed to gurgling on his blood while continuing to fight.

And I do love the WWJS. That rocks. I believe that the 50 would definitely put 'em down and keep 'em down.

Minute man, it is good to hear his name spoken correctly. Made my day. He wouldn't need one, he could just vaporize you by thought. Quigley's picture reminds us what gun owner are going through to keep their rights. I will gladly bear that cross.

I hadn't thought of it that way. Good analogy.

As to the name, let me show off my theological muscle a bit. The "J" sound was not known in the original languages of scripture. When the Bible was transcribed into English the superstitious monks performing the task were wont to mispronounce the name of God. They were not schooled in the pronunciation of Hebraic text, which does not include vowels in to thier writing. So to not be guilty of "Taking the name of God in vain" they simply replaced it in our version of the scriptures.

7000 times in the scriptures they edited out the true name of our creator and his Christ. They replaced it with LORD. Anytime in the KJV Bible you see the word LORD, all capitolised it is where men edited your Bible and changed it.

There is a "Sacred Names" movement in theology today to re-instate the correct names once again. Those names are Yahweh for the creator and Yahshua his son. Yahweh is literally "I am" the name revealed to Moses when he asked. Yahshua is literally " God saves".

A side note, Yeshua is the Hebrew name for Joshua, which is a common Hebrew name and very different than Yahshua which is only used to refer to Christ.

What difference does one letter make? Take Timmy and Tammy. One letter changes the entire meaning and actually changes the gender.

When scripture is read in the original language it is so different and more eloquent than our course and perverted English version.

Ok, Sunday school is dismissed, back to the original topic.
