The probability of viable germination is probably fairly low....do a germination test...but give it a try should be an interesting experiment. At the very least the seeds may make useful chicken feed. You might try soaking the seed in hydrogen peroxide overnight. I read where this was supposed to revitalize old seed.

Maybe the method of preparing the dosing solution was defective? There's not enough info in your post to indicate why the seed failed to germinate. When I read about it the hydrogen peroxide solution used to sprout seeds it was a very weak solution. I believe it was on the order of 0.3% for that one article I read.
