I have a 77-22 Ruger that I absolutely love but it will only eat CCI Mini-mags. Everything else gets stuck in the chamber and has to be extracted with a cleaning rod. Should I ream the chamber to allow a bit more tolerance? Or should I just always count on CCI?

Before you ream it you might want to try and polish it a little. Dremel makes some little polishing attachments. That might be just the trick.

Rim fires that get dry fired tend to indent small burrs on the edge of the chamber where the rim sits, look there and see if the firing pin has peened the edge of it.
