    Zimmy Wait, I'm not ready!

I had a great day with the family all together for the first time in years.

Then I took two tours around the mile of walking trails that I made on the farm this year.

I've got a hernia awaiting repair, so I am pretty limited in what I can do with a lot of exertion.

Next week I do the pre-op CTs.

I attended two night classes this week, work and T-Day interfered with my normal routine. It’s kind of weird because it’s like being a guest, being polite to other grapplers trying to make you go unconscious. Lol. Friday I let loose a bit and mostly smashed! My game is definitely not flexibility, it’s get on top and smash! Lol.

Get the Christmas lights up, get Christmas done, and get a heavy bag hung up in the barn. I'm going to get the 'Buru timed and running. My home goals are small.

There's going to be a few Saturdays of at-work projects demanding me this month.

As a firefighter, I'm constantly pulled between the world of cardio and strength. You need a lot strength to drag a charged fire hose but need cardio to keep doing it and not suck the life out of your air bottle too fast. Consequently, my workouts typically revolve around moving a low enough weight - say power cleans @ 155lbs and/or shoulder press around 115lbs - that can be moved many times and therefore garner with it a cardio aspect. Farmers carries are a big thing, too, which are great for learning how to carry a load, breathe under load, and cardio, as well.

Having said that, I mountain bike and go on simple walks and use a rowing machine. As with all things, the middle is typically the best answer. Be strong, but not too strong, be fit and able to go for long periods, but no so that you sacrifice musculature.
