    They got 0$ evidently. Idiots.
Class has been good so far this week, lots of good rolls. I’m trying to make my game more versatile. That’ll be my silly little New Year’s resolution. Lol.

And just like that, when I start eating right & working out one or both of my kids shares covid with me (and the wife). Ugh.
I did drop about 6lbs my first week, now to keep it off while I'm not feeling good and craving "comfort" food.

    Zimmy Wait, I'm not ready!

22,000 steps and then a work out? Even shambling zombies would probably get me before the 11 mile point.

27,000 steps today. I'm letting these walks be my main workout.

Got over 23,000 steps yesterday and this morning Kilauea started erupting. I've noticed that Volcanic activity likes to pick up towards the end of the year. We got our cats's paperwork and carriers good to go and ready to travel just in case.
I'm lighter than I've ever been as an adult and am so happy to see the scale go down. I got 23,000 steps yesterday and am looking forward to more long walks today.
I've read 111/110 books this year and am looking forward to setting another reading goal for 2025. This year I read a lot of contemporary novels and a lot of them weren't that great. I think I'm going to try to read more of the classics and Great Books in the new year.
    I'm currently reading:

    • "The High Five Habit: Take Control of Your Life with One Simple Habit" by Mel Robbins. I'm not a huge Mel Robbin's fan, but I started listening to her podcast during my walks and I appreciate her interviewing abilities. She gets some good guests on her show and I know that I can always learn something new.
    • "The Wangs Vs. the World" by Jade Chang. I wanted to read something lighthearted and funny and this book frequently pops up. I don't really like it so far. The author tries to use lots of big words. Maybe it will get better. We shall see.
    • "Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius. It feels good to read classics again.
What are you currently reading or listening to? Do you have any podcasts that you can recommend? I've been listening to Mel Robbins and Andy Frisella. Has anyone tried the 75 Hard challenge or live hard? I was thinking about it, but I don't know if I can commit to a whole gallon of water every day. that seems like a lot. Isn't it funny that That's my sticking point? Let me know what your thoughts are.

    Zimmy Wait, I'm not ready!

I'm taking a course in Western Philosophy from Hillsdale college, and I just finished Mark of the Fool 7. That's a fantasy novel in a good series.

I'm still doing daily readings in Stoicism and the Bible.

I should read more but I don’t. I had a busy week with a wind storm but I got back on track Sunday and this morning at 5. Tuesday class then half day at work. Yay.

For the record, I can't stand Mel Robbins and my wife is her biggest fan. I can't say why for either of us.

Evidently class is cancelled this morning. I read the text after I got up at 4, lol. I’m going to run in my garage instead and watch YouTube vids of a few Jiu Jitsu fellas I follow. You can actually learn a lot from them. I’ll post a short one here in a bit.

This made me laugh and made me feel a little better. I'm glad that she can inspire people. I find her a bit obnoxious, but do appreciate the way that she is trying to inspire and help others.

You got an early start today! It's a bummer that class got cancelled, but it sounds like you made the most of it. Thank you for sharing this video. I'm going to try to start learning from them. At my stature, I need pepper spray and all the help that I can get. Lol.

Merry Christmas Eve, Everyone! I hope you're all having a wonderful day. I'm finally doing the thing that I've been avoiding which is going through everything, decluttering, and deep cleaning. We always maintain our space, but I know that things could be even better. These last few months have taught me that I need to simplify things as much as possible because I'd much rather be outside walking and exploring than inside cleaning and doing chores. Lol.

    Merry Christmas!
Yesterday my BF invited me to do the "man challenge" which is 500 push ups in 24 hours... I think he heard about it from Andrew Tate and apparently we're not supposed to brag about it...Too bad, I'm bragging here. Lol.
At 360 push ups I thought that I would have to give up, but then I did it! 500 full pushups within 24 hours! We both did it and he got up to 540.
2024 has been full of many challenges (car blowing up, losing a business / income, building a new business, no running water or plumbing for 11 days while having new born bottle fed piglets and hatchlings, etc.), but I think this push up challenge was the most challenging and satisfying for me. It challenged me mentally and physically and I'm so happy that I pushed through. My everything hurts now.
I've also gotten 25,000 steps today and the night is still young!

Today I really had to push it, but I got my 23,000 steps. This goal has taught me that it's not the kind of goal you can set if you want to sleep in or binge watch netflix. Lol, it's a time commitment, but I really appreciate the way that it has motivated me to stay active and be less sedentary!
Hope you will all have a wonderful weekend!
