    No one of these is more important than the other, you will need the tools and the knowledge to survive. A rifle that is not taken care and you don't know how to use is just an expensive club. A wood stove without a good chimney and dry wood is just a shelf.

    My hobby is the green house and hydroponics. For the most part off grid and I raise tomatoes and veggies and try to keep enough supplies for several years. Buy a 40 pound bag of fertilizer instead of a 5 pound one. Usually less than 4 times the cost. Plastic bucket in cool dry place and probably good for a hundred years or the life of the bucket. Has to be water tight as a lot of the fertilizers will pull moisture from the air.

    Have a shallow well and a hand pump for green house, so that takes care of water also.
