I think one doesn't need to be a rocket scientist to realize that the reason behind so much Left is simply the war makes it almost impossible to tract the money - so - money laundering. Yes, you are correct in all of it but @flex if you know this and I know this, you don't think the President of the United States who has enormous agencies who can tell you each and every day what Putin had for breakfast, doesn't know this? He does. He also knows that Putin wants out of this war, but he has no way out. He can't simply stop because Ukraine won't stop until he leaves, and he can't leave without getting something extra in his Cheerios for all the blood that has been shed, nor can he win without too massive losses that would probably also get him that special breakfast or a bullet so... He is in a corner and must continue. but even the Russian people are starting to question the cost and for what - not good. So, he will settle for what he has and a guarantee that Ukraine will not be allowed to join NATO. What happens in the future? Who knows and, in truth, who cares because it really isn't our problem. It's Europe's problem. Our problem is throwing money away because there is no way in hell Ukraine can win now and...we're broke.
I'm kinda hoping we had a breakthrough in cyber and we loudly announced we weren't going to conduct (detectable by enemy) cyber operations anymore.
