Arrival at prison in El Salvador. No slack from those guards. The whole scene looks strangely familiar. All that's missing is the yellow footprints... oh...and graduation.
Isn't that exactly the intent? Discriminate, discipline and discharge! Height, weight and fitness standards are nothing new in the military. Neither is claiming discrimination. All the court-martial boards agreed with me when I processed fat-bodies for discharge. Seeing this kind of resistance tells me we're definitely moving in the right direction. Anybody that can't see this has obviously never had to try to carry a man that's their height, but forty pounds heavier, or had to carry the load of someone who can't/won't. Black robed judges have no place making decisions about how the military enforces fitness standards. We have a Uniform Code of Military Justice that works just fine. (Although I think the pre-1951 Articles was adequate, and was understood by all.)
Absolutely right! An unfit military member is a danger to not only him/herself, but to all in the unit/ship/aircraft. Being 'fair' has no place in the equation. Standards are developed and used for very good reasons.
