The Bridger™ Shoulder Line Gun is a custom made line launcher 45/70 caliber gun capable of throwing a line from 300’ to 750’ or more, subject to line weight, projectile used, cartridge load, and wind conditions. The standard Model #CG85 Kit comes with lines and projectiles for distances up to 550’, subject to wind conditions. The line gun is the same in each available kit.

The entire CG85 kit, easily carried, is sold in a sturdy red wooden box with solid brass hardware and weighs 36 lbs. (16.3 Kg).
This particular one is built on a case-hardened receiver that was a very popular long-range rifle in the 1950s with several different rifle caliber barrels and shotgun barrels available for it. I'll talk trades. Bridger Naval did try to get me to trade mine for one of their brand new kits in a Pelican case but This one is old and got some history.

A shoulder fired Lyle gun. Cool. Combine it with a surf rod and you could do some long distance shore fishing.

A Bridger line gun kit, also known as a line-throwing gun, is currently listed at $2,753.98 at Mariners Warehouse. Bridger Naval offered to trade me a brand new kit in a pelican case for this old one, so I really have no idea of the value. Right now, I'm more interested in Ithaca Model 37s, Winchester Model 12s, and nice side-by-sides.

@Seacowboys Have you shot it? if you think about it, 300' is a good distance...

I have shot it a few times, the distance depends on the weight line you are using and the load of the .45-70 blanks. The blanks and different line weights are available from Bridger Naval, the heavy loads I have gotten 700' with it. 300' is about what I get with a lighter load, also have different weight line projectiles.
