You ever wonder why the sky is blue?

    If you have ever wondered why the sky was blue then I have the answer.
    It is NOT because the ocean is reflected back up into the sky as I was told when I was a child.
    Here is the actual answer form my Astronomy professor:
    "Blue light scatters more than red light. When the Sun is high in the sky, you will see all of the colors if you look right at the Sun. But looking in other directions, you will see just the colors because some of the blue sunlight will be scattered back to you. When the Sun is near the horizon, the blue sunlight is scattered away leaving only orange sunlight---the Sun appears red.

    Cool stuff eh?

    OK, if we are going here, then riddle me this batman. Why does the old saying go, "Red in the morning, sailor take warning. Red at night, sailor's delight"?????

    Might as well find a way to link this to survival.

    Man you have no idear how bored I am. I am on my second overview of a full years worth of astronomy. but my mammy told me to study good to get a good education so I try.
