What will we do when we Don't know how to survive with out technology, and the PowerGrid breaks down or one day becomes vile and corrupt? This any one fear this? Thought about this? Or prepare for this?

My whole goal has been to have the capacity to carry my tribe successfully back to the Stone Age if need be.

In fact all this AI, surveillance, and drone tech blooming up....we may pray for a CME to save us.

Power grid going down in the US will probably drop the population by at least half within a matter of weeks.
Large cities first, then head out to the suburbs. Stores will be empty in days.
When the water stops being delivered by gravity systems another group of folks will be checking out.
It'll probably be just Farmers, Gen Xers, preppers, military trained folks and a few opportunist roving bands left to survive.

Canada outside of major pop centers will be fine and probably mexico as well.
Africa will be fine as will rural russia, india and china. Along with most of south america.
Europe is pretty much screwed worse than the US.
I have no clue about Australia.

I think the US and Europe will bear the brunt of losses if it's global.

Just take the challenge.....Reach in and and turn off your main breaker for a few days. A week is better. It will give you a whole new perspective on what you must have, what you need, and what you just want.

Did this unexpectedly a few years ago. An Ice storm cut the power to most of my county at the same time as the grid went down in Texas. I'd oddly taken a week's vacation, and the power went out on day 1 and went back on almost exactly a week later. We were ice bound with a thick layer everywhere on a hillside too steep to walk without crampons. It would have gotten bad if we didn't have a gas fireplace and a gas stove. In a real collapse we would have lost gas along with water as the pumps began to fail. It was a real eye opener.

Power out gives you time to think. It's amazing how much of our existence is wall to wall distraction that you never notice until the power goes out. We are honestly netter off without most of it. Important thing fade into the background and you find yourself dancing to technology.
