Three women went to Mexico one night, had too much to drink, and woke up the next morning in jail. They were told they would be executed, but none of them could remember what they had done wrong.

The first woman, who had red hair, was strapped into the electric chair. When asked if she had any last words, she said, “I went to Grace University, and I believe that God will protect the innocent.” They pulled the switch, but nothing happened.

Yes, it absolutely can happen before the glass makes a ring. The hops used for aroma and flavoring have substances called iso-alpha acids. Upon direct exposure to sunlight or rather to ultraviolet light, those break down and ultimately form methylbutene thiol which is chemically very similar to skunk spray. The chemical reaction can occur in 2 minutes or even less. Years ago in a beer class, we did some simple tests one afternoon and could start smelling hints in just 60 seconds of sunlight exposure.

Some larger brewers are employing de-isomerized hops to reduce the issue but small brew pubs making their own craft beers with fresh ingredients not so much. Some hops are worse than others. Always, always keep the beer out of direct sunlight and generally avoid clear or green glass bottles.

Out of all of the beer classes I've attended in the states ,, and 2 foreign countries,, I've never been told green beer bottles could be dangerous,,,
