He looks safer than me, riding up and down the craneway ten feet off the ground with my legs through the back of an office chair for safety. That was always my favorite part of having lock-up, and how I double checked that all the fans were off and doors were closed.

And they were typically 6 volts AC

 

I wanted one of those sooooooo bad! About 50 years ago that was the coolest ride around! I had one that was similar, but the back rest wasn't that big!

 

I can still smell the powder burning, and probably always will!

 

Had this as a kid in the 50's

 

I still remember my old fanner 50.

 

I had one once ,, similar to that one . Mine was used ,,it didn't have that tall sissy bar or the gears . I had the factory slick on the back tire . I guess it was the stripped down version. I don't know why ,, but that bike rode well ,, like it was just balanced out or something like that.

 

Bicycle lights, the generator is turned by the tire. I never had a set but have seen it on other's bikes.

 

I remember seeing these as a kid.

 

These type cap pistols are still made and sold, but modern caps (made in China of course) absolutely suck. Hardly any powder in them at all. Can't get a good "Pop" from them.
