25 years ago my boss at the time bought his wife a Jag. He took it in for it's first oil change. He was expecting some fancy, expensive oil filter. The mechanic told him "Nah. It's a Ford engine. Uses the same filter as a Taurus."

 

Jaguar was swirling the drain when Ford bought them. That just postponed the inevitable. With the criminal antics of Stellantis, I expect before long we'll see the end of Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram too. This insistence on going "all-electric" is going to kill many automakers.

 

I don't see us going all electric in my lifetime,, mid 60s here,,, of course that's gonna be decided who's president. Before they try that ,,, they better take in to consideration the power grid ,,, but that takes a little thought process ,,, which our politicians lack in that area .
And according to Trump,,, that's what caused the fued between Trump and Musk,,, Trump stopping the EV mandates .
But ,, I've been wrong before.
