A new Declaration of Independence? Opinions?

    A Declaration of the Rights of American Citizens, When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of the Citizens of America requires that they should declare the causes which cause them to declare their Public Functionaries to be traitors who have violated their oath of office and disregarded the Constitution.

    We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equally free and independent, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the right to own and use Private Property.–That to secure these individual rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Public Functionary becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to correct them, and to return Government to its limited form. Prudence will dictate that long established traditions should not be changed for light and passing causes; and accordingly, all experience hath shown, that mankind is more disposed to suffer, while evil is sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and violations, following invariably the same Object, demonstrates a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Public Functionaries, and to return to the Guards for their future security.–Such has been the patient sufferance of We the People; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their current Systems of Government and return to the limited government we previously had. The history of the present Oligarchy is a history of repeated injuries and violations, all having the direct purpose of establishing an absolute Tyranny over the People. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid People.

    They have created a wall of bureaucracy and agencies to insulate them from accountability.

    They have erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent swarms of Officers to harass our people, and take their private property.

    They have refused to pass laws submitted to them, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

    They have treated some individuals and groups like second-class citizens, violating their Rights for the preferential treatment or benefit of other individuals or groups.

    They have used the IRS and Law Enforcement agencies to target and harass those who have questioned or resisted them.

    They have repeatedly prevented and persecuted Citizens for speaking out at public meetings, Citizens who have opposed with firmness the invasions on the rights of the people.

    They have made Judges through bureaucracies who are dependent on their Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries, and have directed abuse of justice by their judges.

    They have repeatedly ignored due process and, without warrants, searched private property and records, taken private property, and imprisoned individuals indefinitely.

    They have raised and kept among us, Standing Armies of alphabet agencies and bureaucrats to rule in the place of the limited legislature, executive, and judiciary branches of the Constitution.

    They have combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving their Ascent to their Acts of pretended laws:

    They have bought our schools and indoctrinate our children into their service:

    They have used the guise of environmental protection to steal our private property and confiscate our assets.

    For protecting their bureaucrats, by a mock Trial or no trial, from punishment for any abuses which they have committed on the Citizens of these States:

    For creating and facilitating conflicts in foreign lands for their own profits:

    For wasting our sons, daughters, husbands, wives, fathers, and mothers, lives and wellbeing and the meager resources of our Citizens, for their wars and conflicts:

    For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent, to pay for unconstitutional expenditures:

    For abusing us with the unfettered tax of inflating away our incomes and savings through fiat currency and crushing debt:

    For preventing us from using sound money, silver and gold, for currency:

    For depriving us, in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury:

    For taking away our Constitutions, abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments through their judges:

    For buying our own Legislatures and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

    They have abdicated the right to govern here, by declaring us out of their Protection and waging War against us.

    They have incited domestic insurrections amongst us and have endeavored to bring on the daily destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.

    In every stage of these Oppressions, We have Petitioned for Redress in the humblest terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Public Functionary, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the representative of a free People.

    Nor have We been lacking in thoughts of our American brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their government to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have invoked them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which would inevitably disrupt our connections, communication, and our unity. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of kinship. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.

    We, therefore, the Constitution Party, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the correctness of our intentions, do, in the Name of the Citizens of America, solemnly publish and declare, That We the People are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent; that We are Absolved from all Allegiance to the Oligarchy, and that all political connection between us and the Oligarchy, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent Citizens of America, We have full Power and Right to do all other Acts and Things which Free Citizens may of right do. We invoke the return to the Constitution and to a limited government that will secure our inalienable Rights. We demand that our States get their creation, the U.S. government, back under control. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.

    Been independent voter for a long time but may have found my party more research required of course…

    The Founders of America declared their Independence from the tyranny that had increasingly oppressed them. They declared themselves and their posterity separate from and free from the tyrants who were abusing their individual rights. They fought a defensive war against their mother country which had attacked them with oppressive taxes, abuses in the courts, the military, and even mercenaries.

    Today, we face ever increasing tyranny and abuse from our Public Functionaries. Those we put in positions to secure our individual rights have betrayed us and violate their oaths of office. They have attacked our individual rights and have prostituted us for their own ambitions for popularity, power, and wealth. They have done what they were given the authority to prevent and we are left with the knowledge that we are funding and promoting our own oppression.

    It is time for American Citizens to wake up and take responsibility for their own governance and get their public functionaries back in line. It is time for a return to limited government!

    Well...nice words. Furthermore, I agree with them. However, they are meaningless... American citizens have been trying to rein in the US government, at least, since I was born and if I believe my grandmother since she was born too so...

    Today, we have a chance like no other day before us in our history. We do not have a politician in the office. We have a leader that is not easily tempted by wealth or power. I believe we are at the turning point, perhaps better stated, the breaking point, for either we reverse many of these anti-American policies and regulations or the country fails. It appears we are definitely gaining ground however most of these gains have been nothing more than temporary via Executive Order and/or getting in place the infrastructure to make lastly and permanent changes. It's simply too early to tell if we will be successful but for the first time in my lifetime, we are indeed doing things that truly benefit the nation and our citizens and I do have a bit of hope, not much, but a bit. We'll see.

    So, I do not understand why the Constitution Party decided now is the time to broadcast these words nor do I understand what they hope to achieve by it. Words. I am sick to death of words! Lies and meaningless, do-nothing words. Especially any words coming from any political party. Furthermore, while I love the Constitution, I am now a firm believer that it needs to be changed in order to free us from our political leaders by modernizing it. A Balance Budget Amendment, a Term Limit impose (like the President), Citizenship and Immigration are a few that quickly come to mind...

    Anyway, that's my thoughts on it...meaningless.

    I find myself in agreement with you... a bothersome thing about all you said is the very people that can implement the things you said are the office holders that are also stopping it...

    Yep! You definitely got that right! And, that is the real and biggest problem. Look, I would debate anyone that sooner or later this country will have another Civil War. There is just no other way around it and there is so many reasons for it that you can't even count them all.

    Furthermore, I consider the Constitution one of the greatest documents ever produce in the history of man but...it cannot stop the corrupt government from doing what they want, when they want and how they want and, in that regard, it is needs more teeth, modernized.

    However, even that is not a complete solution. Frankly, I believe that the main problem is Congress or more to the point, the people in Congress. Much like in the era of Rome, Greece, etc., once our representatives get to the House/Senate, they start to degrade due to compromising and corruption and the longer they are there the more useless and corrupt they are. It's a human trait that been with us throughout mankind's history in ANY form of government so....so take them out of the mix. Basically, get rid of Congress. Put the vote to the people using technology. Make Congress just administrators without power or money whose only purpose is to inform their district or state on Bills, etc... but I realize I'm dreaming here...it's a waste of time but that is the real problem. It's got so bad that we no longer are even sure if our elections are real, clean, not rigged...I believe they are not so...if they aren't then all 'We the People' really are...are piggy banks. We pay the bills via taxes that we have no control over or control over anything...but we think we do.

    Anyway, I am a big believer in Trump but I neither trust or believe in the government of this country anymore. Why should I? Give me one thing they haven't screwed up?

    interesting view... the problem I see is the constant indoctrination our following generations have been subjected to...

    they've been taught to hate our nation and way of life... to think it's terrible and imperialistic... the history they are taught to often ignores many things in the past...

    the things done by other countries are often far worse then we ever did... and the true communist and socialist doings are ignored and never truthfully taught...

    so IMHO using the system you suggest could be very perilous to our republic... they could vote in their own worst interest like Venezuela got tricked into...

    bringing back civics and requiring the truth be taught about the history of other nations and forms of government may help that???

    you may be correct in saying there could be another civil war... thing is they will probably invite the UN to get involved to maintain their power???

    Anyone who would seek an elected office only does so for self gratification and a sense of power. Trump, while I firmly believe has the greater good of America in his heart, absolutely loves he fact that he is the President. I have known quite a few folks over the years whom have been elected to office, from Mayor to councilman to Congressman. Without exception, they all turned to pieces of self serving shit in a very timely fashion. Term limits and independent investigations of wrong doing are the only things that will fix this flaw which slipped through the cracks unseen by our founding fathers.

    when they set it up the politicians did NOT get paid they only got reimbursed for the own spending... things went south when they were allowed to pay themselves...

    i was excited about that,,,, for 5 minutes. i have to keep telling myself give trump 3 1/2 years then see. spite is not a good foundation for a 3rd party.

    What most do not realize is that yes, the Perot vote took votes from Bush Sr. In 92’, but what was the biggest source of votes that gave Clinton California and has kept California blue since then was the Reagan Administration’s amnesty to those millions of illegal’s that now had the right right to vote in the 92’ election.

The UN is very little without US input- what they gonna do, bring Russian or red Chinese troops in? Go for it and they will mourn the ruins of their smoking cities. Besides, those blue helmets make great rifle targets!

    Some years ago, my grandmother remarked to me that she felt I should get into politics. She felt that I had conviction and a very strong sense of what was right or wrong. I remember telling her that I would not be any good in any of those arenas even locally. I told her that I would make enemies from the beginning as I would not compromise something that wasn't right based on party direction. I would have been ostracized from the get go by the people that put me in power.

    This unfortunately is the way of things. People by and large crave power and money. They want the best seats in the Synagogues (Luke 11:43). Those of us that have not the love of money nor power but of love for those around us are the most scorned.

    You are very correct in that assessment. For far too long our government has been way too lax in border security and allowing in specifically mexican nationals. These people have no love for nor do they wish to assimilate into America. They want all of the benefits and love living here in America while shoving a mexican flag in your face screaming how great it is.
