One of life's true underappreciated pleasures, especially when we are old.

 

Yep,, all that plus ,, I had to walk almost a mile and a half to get to school,, never understood that ,, other kids had bus routes and they were closer than I was .

 

I had to walk over 10 miles uphill both ways though 30 foot snow drifts!!! so there!!!

actually I did have to walk a very long way during junior high... think it was close to 7 miles???

grade school was much closer... maybe a 1/2 mile total?
