Yes, the tax stamp will be eliminated starting January 1st of next year, till then, the $200 stamp still applies.

It's a damn shame is what it is and a perfect example of ideocracy and stupidity. The Hearing Act and the Short Act actually passed the House, which took suppressors and SBRs off the NFA but the Senate, in their great and noble wisdom, decided this instead. Franky, I think it is time was stop asking them for common sense change when it comes to this and demand it. I want suppressors and SBRs off the damn list and I want it now. Why? Because it makes no damn sense and violates the 2A. They can keep the rest on there, machineguns, mortars, etc... but from now on the specific words out of my mouth when I speak to my representators is when will this happen, not if, not but, just when. No mealy mouth smooth talk, no tap dance. Tell me and receive my vote or get down the road. EDIT: It is now obvious to me that THEY are lying to us and never will change the law. They hoot and holler how pro 2A they are just to gain our vote, but they will not change a damn thing. In simple terms, they are liars.
