WIC has always had limitations but it is completely separate from the EBT food stamps system. It is possible for someone to get both.

I had the wall phone that had a crank on the side to get the operators attention, another with a rotary dial, several candle stick phones with and with out dials and they all worked. Also have the scissor device the extended the phone from a cabinet in the wall to the chair one sat at.
Top of that my grandfather worked for AT&T as a cabinet maker.

No, it is for 'poor' women with babies..

My daughter was on WIC after her 1st child. My SIL had a shit for wages job at the time - and they refused our offers of help.

My daughter is as pig-headed as I am, and not always in the good way.

OTOH, she is a very hard worker and now has her own real-estate management company. Trouble is, her boss is quite demanding.....

But she can tell her boss off if she wants to and won't get fired for it.

Just an observation refused your help but accepted a taxpayer funded program. Glad she found her way

Might work for someone desperate for work and money, with military providing housing, food, etc. , but only for a single person. Can't provide for a family on that.
Back when I joined the USAF in 1976, my Dad was shocked how "much I made" as an E2 when I got to my duty station after tech school. He was USAF in the late 1950s (twenty years prior), and made peanuts. Mom spent much of her time with us kids at her parents' home, when Dad was overseas. Military pay always has seriously lagged private sector pay, worse than even State pay. But in both cases, we got bennies the private sector didn't provide. I guess it all works out. ;)

Joined USAF in 1956. As I remember it recruit was $77.10 a month and 4 years later as an A1/c it was $124.30. That is single man living in the barracks and eating in chow hall. Yep I got out. Was a few dollars for clothes though. Don't remember how much. Couldn't make sgt as the career field was full of WW2 sgts putting in their 20. Hard to realize that if you went in 1942, few weeks after the war started, you had to serve til 1962 to get your 20 in. Ended up with Msgt's with WW2 waist or tail gunners supposedly radar techs. They set in office and I pre flighted the airplanes, but no more openings for sgt.
