The last time I went hunting 25+ years ago I carried the knife my dad got me when I started hunting 50+ years ago tucked in the top of my boot, laced in place. It worked fine. Of course, I wasn't wearing skinny jeans. The blade was short enough (4.5") compared to the boot top that it didn't reach down to my ankle bone. Just laid along the outside of my shin. I couldn't tell it was there. However, I decided not to do that again, as in this state that is considered a concealed weapon, and our CWPs are handgun only, not knives (and I didn't have a CWP then anyway).

Yup took wood shop, metal shop, and mechanical drafting in high school 63-67 learned a lot that has helped me be self sufficient in life
