Am I the only one that remembers the TOILET paper situation of 2020!

I am remodeling the bathroom and ripped the wall skin off and most of the studs out. I posted a pic of the progress on the FB page where someone promptly asked "Why in the Hell would you put a wall safe in your bathroom?"



So I posted a picture with the wall safe open and asked "Don't you remember the 2020 Toilet Paper Crisis and SHTF "

 

Great idea. That's the real two-ply stuff! I'd suggest leaving a small honeypot of the single-ply under the sink.

Interesting I guess I forgot to ignore you when I changed names. And of course you wouldn't use a safe like that you would probably spend $500 more on one instead of buying a $2 roll of weather stripping

 

When the shit hits the fan you can never have to much toilet paper.

 

Especially if it's the morning after Taco Tuesday and the S that HTF could pass through a screen door.

 

Actually, in a prolonged SHTF situation you are going to have to transition quickly from toilet paper to something else. It wouldn't hurt to have some toilet paper on hand, I do, but not a 5-year supply! The answer is rags! Rags for wiping, rags for menstrual cycles, rags for diapers, etc. You might want to get different colored rags for different purposes. Also, them rags are going to have to be washed and boiled, or boiled and washed! That or use your left-hand!

I remember a number of years back before the COVID lockdown, reading on a prepper page, "When the SHTF, toilet paper will be worth its weight in gold". Figured I'd just start stocking up then, and would buy at least a 4-roll package every time I went to the store, or bigger size, if I had a coupon. Over a couple years time, I probably built up at least a year's worth of TP, for my own use!

Come the COVID lockdown and TP shortage of 2020, and all of a sudden, MY preparations saved the day! Ended up shipping TP to relatives in 2 states, and my GF, too! Probably cost more to ship than what it was worth, but at least, for a short period of time, I was a hero!

 

I always figured a phone book hanging by the toilet would work pretty good ,, peel off a page ,, ball it up , roll it between your hands to soften it up ,, hell,,, that would be like shittin' like a king compared to other options . But ,, phonebooks are about a thing of the past ,, so start stocking up on newspaper.

 

That's the next thing to be a thing of the past.

 

We keep 2 cases now after 2020. Only kept 1 before. Actually loaned a neighbor 2 rolls during that time, and later she paid back with an 8 roll pack of Charmin. Now I'm thinking, could toilet paper loan shark be a thing?

I prefer centipede grass about 3 to 4 inch range and slightly wet helps cut down on the friction.

Was thinking about him the other day ,, seems he just bailed out. Hopes he's doing well whatever ,, and whoever, he's doing now.
