What is your go-to workout?

    I'm adding "icing my shoulder for 15 minutes" to my evening routine. I also did 10 minutes of meditation before bed. It's been awhile. Today I have a total body workout and then that concludes week #8/10. I might take an epsom salt bath tonight and am looking forward to tomorrow's massage.
    Tomorrow's a rest day and I'm looking forward to it --I'll probably spend the day mulching which is also good exercise.

    Food for thought: Does anyone ever feel like doing a workout before it's done?

    If you have that level of intrinsic motivation, then I admire you so much!

    Right now I don't feel like doing this workout at all, but I know I will feel so much better when it's done. Let's go!

    I need to be going somewhere: jogging somewhere, hiking somewhere with weight, swimming somewhere...

    The exercise itself is always boring for me, except for swimming underwater and at the beach, which I always enjoyed

    What motivates me is planning a new route and exploring someplace new (y)

    I’m pretty consistent but not because it’s fun. Just trying to not get old mostly.

    I remember trying not to get old ,, then found out ,, I got old ,,,
    I did get to leave a mark one night ,, defending a friend ,,that was almost 1/2 my age ,,, I survived,, and was told that had the cops asked for video ,, i might could have been charged,, even tho I was protecting someone else ,,, not sure how many more of those times I have left in me,, but I will give them till I don't have them ,,, and what scares me is ,, I never saw the video from that night ,,but i blacked out. ,, but the bar owner said if the cops asked for the videos from the bar ,, I might could have been charged ,, even tho I was trying to defend someone else ,, I have still never seen the video,, because I can remember " coming to" , with the guys throat in my hand ,, and the bar looking at me ,,, with a pool ball in my hand about to hit the guy ,, I still don't know what happened,, all I remember was trying to help my friend that got sukker punched.
    I don't go to bars anymore.

    I really love your approach! Having a goal or a mission like this sounds way better than exercising for the sake of exercising. Thank you so much for sharing.

    I'm glad that you were okay that night. I don't blame you for not going to bars anymore. Not my scene either.

    I had a nice little victory. I went in to talk with my Dr. and when they took my blood pressure it was healthy and not high even though I had coffee this morning! That's 2 appointments in a row where I have a healthy blood pressure! I feel so thankful that these lifestyle changes are paying off.

    I really enjoyed yesterday's rest day!
    Today I have a total body workout. These workouts are still getting pushed to the end of the day because anytime there's daylight, I like being outside in the garden.
    This is week #9/10 and then it will be time to figure out what I want to do next.

    I like my Tuesday / Thursday workouts because they are short and focused. Today I did hip focused sets, went for a long walk, then got a 2 hour massage.
    I'm starting to think about what I'm going to do after I finish week #10 of this program. It has been really intense and I've enjoyed it, but I think I'm going to switch gears a bit.
    I'm currently 121 lbs and have hit another plateau. It's not awful because it's been about 19 years since I've been this weight so I really can't complain. My doctor even said, "do you really need to get any smaller than this?" Then I reminded her that I'm 4'11.
    My plan is to really pay attention to my nutrition. Instead of doing strength workouts that take up to 1.5 hours I'm going to do 15 - 20 minutes of strength training and heal my rotator cuff.

    I did my little run today. Class tomorrow morning and Friday unless I get called in to work. This weather is great, feels like Fall.

    Great job with your run! Fall is my favorite season. I hope you will enjoy the beautiful, changing colors and the crispy spice of the air.

    I started adding ankle weights to my walks. Now I just need to make sure that I keep moving because these days I so easily get distracted by the gardens.
    I thought that I was going to do my workout earlier in the day today, but it looks like I'm going to do it in the evening. It's a total body workout and I'm going to switch out the wide grip pull ups for chin ups. I can now do 1 full chin-up from a dead hang! That's progress, the rest of them still need to be partials, but I'll keep working on it.

    I need to do a gear review on the Ninja Creami! My daughter bought one and made me ice cream with Jocko Molk protein powder and water. Wow!
    I’ve dialed a recipe in over the last couple weeks.

    My coach slept in today and guess who has a key? Lol. I taught my first Jiu Jitsu class ever and I think I did ok. I’m known for Kesa-Gatame (A Judo hold) so that’s what we did. Nasty nasty move for the streets.

    That would be amazing! I am actually looking for some kind of blending appliance and I definitely have a sweet tooth. What is your favorite Joko Molk protein flavor? I've tried the mint chocolate and it's really good!

    It's so cool that you're a key holder to the dojo! Congrats on teaching your first class. Was this for that super early in the morning class? Did you enjoy teaching?
    I might have to study some form of martial arts... A lot of people do BJJ here. BJ Penn has a gym and one of his training partners was our neighbor for awhile.
    But, it would mean that I would have to be around people and I've become a bit of an extreme introvert these days. Lol.
