Fellow died out hiking here in Alaska. They found his body and it is at the State ME office.

Not at all uncomon here in AK.

At about 5 p.m. Sept. 1, crews found Casey dead from injuries sustained in a fall. His body was found near the west side of the Mendenhall Glacier, off the trail, troopers said.

The search was aided by RCC and Apple emergency services, which provided updated cell phone location data. Casey’s body is being sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death. Next of kin has been notified.

I had a similar experience in college. My mother insisted that I take a dance class (she was signing the checks) and I signed up for modern dance. First day of class there was about 50-60 people present, then the instructor came in and said, "If you don't currently own a leotard or plan on getting one in the very near future you are in the wrong class and need to head over to drop-add.". About 3/4 of the students left! I signed up for ballroom dancing.
