Hi Jefferson, I recently started practicing yoga on the most basic level and I think it's doing wonders for my mental health and also injury prevention.
I haven't done any personally,,, but a few yrs back ,, I called a buddy of mine ,, he answered,, said he wasvsitting in a doctors office,, I was like ,, shit !! What's the matter ?? Cause he hates doctors . But said his back had been killing him for a while ,, and was down to his last resort. The do didn't help any. He said a few days later he googled his pain symptoms and areas ,,, found some yoga exercises for the specific for his pain area ,, said he started doing those exercises,, and in a short while he was pain free. He said he bought a DVD with a bunch of info and exercises,, loaned it out and never got it back ,, but he swore by that yoga. He said pain pills would just mask the pain ,, but the yoga cured it.
It was the best i ever felt. Right now i am trying to find me someone local to get kick started back.
I have been practicing yin or restorative yoga every night before bed and it has changed my life. I'm sleeping better (have struggled with sleep for years) and an injury that I've had for over 20 years has gone away.
