Chelloveck is permanently banned for good

I'm guessing banned individuals have tried to come back to the Monkey Tree under a different name & avatar. I don't know the technicalities of detecting such stuff, but I am curious about newcomers to the site after a banning has taken place. For a number of reasons, I tend to keep my distance and watch carefully the "flavor'" of what they post. One troll gets banned and a new potential troll with a slightly different agenda steps right on in....

 

I moderate on another forums, there are tools that help but the person needs to come to the attention of staff.

 

Love him or hate him, you got to admit sparing with him was a challenge. I like to think that I zinged him once or twice, but we ALL wanted Chelloveck to breakdown and admit that we were right and he was wrong...but that wasn't gonna happen so good riddance!

I have been a member here for about four years now so still pretty new. I can say that I put that buffoon on ignore early on. Much better that way as I could see he/she/it for what it was early on.

I like a good debate, especially if I state something and someone comes up with a different opinion. I may or may not agree, but I will take a bit to think about it because I know I am not always right. Often times some form of middle ground is met. It is very easy to spot a troll because they argue for the sake of arguing. Many are very far leftists and invade sites like this just to cause disruption, confusion and anger. They care not about learning from one another. They are all here for an agenda and that is all they care about. Many of them are more than likely on numerous similar websites posting away from their mothers basements. They are mostly mentally sick individuals that become useful idiots for the leftist groups easily influenced to carry out acts of violence. Arguing with them, talking with them, PM-ing them etc. is all 100% useless.

Chell did contribute a lot of on-topic content, and was probably deep down one of us, but enjoyed getting a rise out of everyone. We were his entertainment when we fought back.

With respect, I strongly disagree. On most of these forums there is the usual trolls. For some unknown reason they are allowed to stay year after year.

 

I wish Chelloveck a good life. Can’t say I will miss him- but at least his health will increase due to his permanent retirement from this site.

 

I've been waiting for this post for at least 10 years.

 

Y'all think he hasn't already established another identity?

I know nothing of IP addresses and such. The technology doesn't interest me when I can just find a teenager that can make my posts appear to be coming from somewhere other than my actual location.

I doubt he could participate without seeming familiar to lots of us, but it wouldn't surprise me to find that he's still in the hollows or high branches of the Monkey tree.

 

Possible. It's not a big step to go from internut troll to hacker.
