I came home from overseas on vacation to visit my parents in Michigan. I'd been gone for most of five years and thought all the folks I passed were much more friendly than I remembered. I had just waved to a couple in their yard when I saw a yellow Volkswagen coming right at me... in my lane! It took a second or two to realize that it was ME that was driving on the wrong side of the road. I'd probably driven ten or fifteen miles on rural Michigan two lane roads and this was the first car I'd met. That's why everybody was waving at me.
