I had mine done in 2013. I really should have done it much sooner. I was about legally blind in one eye. I still need reading glasses, as I opted for the longer range vision - told the Doc I needed clear vision out to 100 yards. He knew what I was hinting at. It's a bit uncomfortable during the operation, but so totally worth it to see. And to not have to shoot to "center of fuzzy mass"!
