Today was push/pull day and I challenged my partner and his Navy friend to do Andrew Tate's 500 Push-up challenge: 500 push-ups in 24 hours. The last time we started this was on Christmas Eve and it was the most physically and mentally challenging thing that I've ever done, but was the BEST Christmas gift ever!

Started this at 2:17 pm and I'm currently struggling at 443 / 500 push-ups. Wish me luck.

Here's the video with an explanation behind this madness:

Wanna join? My partner is doing it, but his friend didn't even try... Obviously not my kinda person. Lol. I sound mean.

500 push ups done! Last time I took all 24 hours, but today it only took 4 hours.

I’m doing my pole top rescue competition in Spokane. My run today was so-so. I’ll wait and see if it’s enough to make the top 4 and move on.

I started week #4 / 9 of my current training program and I'm feeling really good and strong.
I was still too sore to do push-ups so I did dumbbell bench presses instead.
Hope you are all having a wonderful week!

    Zimmy Wait, I'm not ready!

I crack and pick 3 pounds of mixed nuts for quiet time therapy every payday. We did that year round when I was a kid. I could start a business selling hazelnut, pecan, Brazil nut, and walnut peanut butter (it is really good) if anyone would buy it. Then I could Crack them every night happily.

Cracking nuts is a brilliant idea and I bet people would buy any of those nut butters because they all sound delicious. How are you doing and how are you feeling? Been thinking of you.

    Zimmy Wait, I'm not ready!

I feel pretty good. Getting about 11,000 steps a day. Tomorrow I am going to time myself for 1.5 miles so I can figure out where I am compared to passing a US Army PT test.

After the ablation, it appears that I have a leaky femoral artery. I found a goose egg sized knot earlier this week and reported it. Y'all can Google the bad in that if you want.

Imaging is Monday for the femoral based leak, then a definite cutting to go in and stop the leak. I may be in the most danger of my life of dying, but as a Christian I win either way.

Imaging again on 13 October to see how my heart is doing. Depending on that I can schedule the hernia repair.

Lots of medical drama. Thanks for the prayers and well wishes.

We didn’t place in the top 4 on Tuesday so we didn’t move on to Wednesday unfortunately. I still liked our run overall. Next year will likely be my last go.

@Zimmy Great job on getting your steps in! 11,000 is a lot.
Oh no, the leaky femoral artery sounds scary and painful. I'm glad that you caught it and hope that they can fix it
I'm saying lots of prayers for you.

On Friday I got Covid-19, Flu, and Pneumonia vaccines. I don't think I've gotten the flu shot since the early 2000's, but a bunch of people we know have gotten awfully sick.
The vaccines really kicked my butt. Both arms were super sore at the injection sites and yesterday I was super achy and exhausted. Thankfully today I am feeling a lot better. Glad that's over with!
Now I have some ribeyes on the grill.

I got two rounds of moderna when it first came out and didn't have any bad effects. Today I feel back to normal. What made me decide to get this shot was in June I got on a plane for the first time in 6 years and the people next to me were super sick. Sure enough, ended up testing positive for covid. I think the antibodies have worn off by now so I got the vaccine.

Nothing exciting to report. My hip is doing better thanks to YouTube. Lol. I haven’t been stretching that area my whole life so…

I'm glad to hear that your hip is healing. It's great that you started stretching it. I need to stretch mine a lot more. I have one hip that likes to get stuck sometimes and would like to remedy that. Hope you'll have a great week!

    Happy October Everyone!
September was a busy and stressful month, but we got through it and I stayed fairly consistent with my workouts.

Today I am starting week #6/9 of the program that I'm currently working through. I'm enjoying the shorter workouts and have been doing a proper warm-up beforehand and a good cool down and stretch afterwards.

How was your September and what are you looking forward to this October?

Yes, stuck! Ouch! There’s a medical term for it but I can’t remember it. Stretching and exercising that area is important evidently. Lol.
