    Zimmy Wait, I'm not ready!

Still waiting for doctor release for more activities and the hernia repair.

10k steps a day and isometric exercises are all I have going on. I tried swimming but my guts kept coming out. I refuse to swim in a girdle.

    No stairs unescorted.
    No ladders at all.
    No lifting above 10 pounds.
    No nicotine.
Everyone I know is a snitch.

Hello Everyone! Today I did my push-pull workout and felt strong.
My lower back has been bothering me so I'm really trying to practice yoga at least 3 times a week. I think that slowing down and doing yoga and physical therapy style exercises are the most challenging for me and that's probably a sign that I should do more of it.
This is the class that I did this evening and I think it helped:

When I weighed myself this morning I was 118.6 lbs. I'm slowly and surely getting closer to my goal weight.
    How are you doing today?

Great job with your steps and exercises. I have to say that I started getting my best results when I made my main workout walking (starting last November.) I got better results from it than the times that I tried running and doing more intense things. Isometrics are also very concentrated and effective.
I know that swimming is supposed to be so good and healing... Heck, I used to be a competitive swimmer and coach, but I haven't managed to get my butt to the pool. It's such an involved process with accessories to forget (goggles, towel, swimsuit LOL.)
Keep doing what you're doing because you're doing great! I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for healing.

Well, I would say that you guys inspired me. Today I enrolled in an online self-paced 200 hr. YTT yoga teacher training course.
I still think that I'm very much a beginner and haven't consistently practiced yoga, but I feel ready to change that.

I want to heal my mind and body through practicing yoga. I don't currently have plans to teach, but maybe that will change someday.

I live in a place where they offer tons of these types of courses in a retreat setting and those Bali-style retreats look fun too, but I know myself and I think I will learn better at home and at my own pace.

Maybe in the future I'll take an in person course.

    Wish me luck!

Haha. Thank you. It’s actually a lot of fun and an adrenaline rush at the same time. It helps to be slightly in shape and refusing to grow old.

I'm so happy that after two days of stretching my hip issue seems like it has gone away for now.
I've been doing my workouts and started adding hiit to my routine last week.
Also getting 10,000 - 20,000 steps per day.

Today was the last day of week #6/9. I did my reverse crunches, sit-ups, and have gotten 17,110 steps. The night is young and I will probably log more steps before bed.

My lower back / hip pain returned so I will need to do more stretching and will probably start icing. I ordered a brand new pink foam roller because mine is packed away in a box somewhere.

I found out that I will have to do 30 live Zoom calls to get live hours registered with the Yoga Alliance. I HATE zoom / video calls, but will have to bite the bullet and get set up to do it. I have lifetime access to this program and there's no deadline which is nice, but I do want to get as much out of this experience that I can.
