    Zimmy Wait, I'm not ready!

Still waiting for doctor release for more activities and the hernia repair.

10k steps a day and isometric exercises are all I have going on. I tried swimming but my guts kept coming out. I refuse to swim in a girdle.

    No stairs unescorted.
    No ladders at all.
    No lifting above 10 pounds.
    No nicotine.
Everyone I know is a snitch.

Hello Everyone! Today I did my push-pull workout and felt strong.
My lower back has been bothering me so I'm really trying to practice yoga at least 3 times a week. I think that slowing down and doing yoga and physical therapy style exercises are the most challenging for me and that's probably a sign that I should do more of it.
This is the class that I did this evening and I think it helped:

When I weighed myself this morning I was 118.6 lbs. I'm slowly and surely getting closer to my goal weight.
    How are you doing today?

Great job with your steps and exercises. I have to say that I started getting my best results when I made my main workout walking (starting last November.) I got better results from it than the times that I tried running and doing more intense things. Isometrics are also very concentrated and effective.
I know that swimming is supposed to be so good and healing... Heck, I used to be a competitive swimmer and coach, but I haven't managed to get my butt to the pool. It's such an involved process with accessories to forget (goggles, towel, swimsuit LOL.)
Keep doing what you're doing because you're doing great! I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for healing.

Well, I would say that you guys inspired me. Today I enrolled in an online self-paced 200 hr. YTT yoga teacher training course.
I still think that I'm very much a beginner and haven't consistently practiced yoga, but I feel ready to change that.

I want to heal my mind and body through practicing yoga. I don't currently have plans to teach, but maybe that will change someday.

I live in a place where they offer tons of these types of courses in a retreat setting and those Bali-style retreats look fun too, but I know myself and I think I will learn better at home and at my own pace.

Maybe in the future I'll take an in person course.

    Wish me luck!

Haha. Thank you. It’s actually a lot of fun and an adrenaline rush at the same time. It helps to be slightly in shape and refusing to grow old.

I'm so happy that after two days of stretching my hip issue seems like it has gone away for now.
I've been doing my workouts and started adding hiit to my routine last week.
Also getting 10,000 - 20,000 steps per day.

Today was the last day of week #6/9. I did my reverse crunches, sit-ups, and have gotten 17,110 steps. The night is young and I will probably log more steps before bed.

My lower back / hip pain returned so I will need to do more stretching and will probably start icing. I ordered a brand new pink foam roller because mine is packed away in a box somewhere.

I found out that I will have to do 30 live Zoom calls to get live hours registered with the Yoga Alliance. I HATE zoom / video calls, but will have to bite the bullet and get set up to do it. I have lifetime access to this program and there's no deadline which is nice, but I do want to get as much out of this experience that I can.

    Zimmy Wait, I'm not ready!

My tests all showed my LVEF is estimated at 68. It was 23 a few weeks ago. Supposedly, I am 100% again so I have been adding 1.5 miles of walking as fast as I can do it and upped my daily step count goal to 16,000.

I will be passing an Army physical fitness test by the end of summer. I will also be swimming a mile two days a week.

I still have a little skin to metabolize away. That means another 20 lbs down are needed to get to around 18-20% BMI. I've put on an extra 18 pounds of muscle to reach 88 pounds of skeletal muscle and want to get that to about 110. I am really at my goal weight now. I need to get to my goal shape.

388 pounds to 217 pounds. What a journey....

Oh, I Ranger walked the 2 miles and averaged a 16 minute mile. That has a loooong way to go before I reach my speed goal.

Wow, did my hernia hurt from the bouncing. That surgery is 07JAN26. I will stick to walking until that is done.

I did 5 strength training workouts this week and felt really strong. I currently weigh 118 lbs with a 28.5 inch waistline. I'm very thankful for the progress that I'm making.

Grief hit me so hard by Friday. I miss my dad and still can't believe that he's gone. It has been a year since I stopped talking to my mom and 4 years since I stopped talking with my sister. It feels like I lost all of them, but sometimes you have to love people from a distance (when they are toxic towards you.)

Thankfully the rainclouds lifted today and I spent the afternoon gardening and planting flowers.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

I'm badly broken and in recovery mode. 45 years of basically the same movements every day coupled with two bad falls at work have destroyed both arms and one shoulder. My daily workout routine is just stretching, and trying to get the grinding and popping noises to go away.

Sleeping is hit and miss. Some nights I can find a comfortable position. Most, the shoulder aches like a toothache and I'm stretching and hoping to
    make it settle down.

I'm trying to stay on full duty until the New Year, but I can't keep even my reduced pace at work. Need new exercise plans, and flexibility to do them. Gym, sauna, pool. Got my paid up lifetime membership, just need time to enjoy it.

I'll call my go-to workout "unemployment."
