Some reloaders are reporting this powder going bad, Everyone who has this you may want to double check it....and any reloads you may have on the shelf!!!! IMR 4166
Never used it. Looks like it was discontinued a while back. Canadian IMR "issues" have been circulating for many years on and off. Glad I never had to worry about it.
Unfortunately I am one of those individuals that has a one pound canister of IMR 4166 that has gone bad. The $26 cost for this pound I can accept, but it is the 8 pound can that I am sweating over, so far, so good. I checked the lot number of the 8# and it is not the same as the 1# and both were bought back in 17’-18’. It is a shame because IMR 4166 gave me the best accuracy out of my LR 308 rifle consistently delivering sub 1/4MOA with 10 shot groups. I currently have no reloaded ammunition with this powder so no worries there. I am going to leave the 8# jug alone for another couple of years hoping it does not go bad
buhjezuz are you sure you aren't talking about a benchrest rifle? You'd be winning most if not all the BR competitions.
