I know the feeling too. It sucks getting old.

 

My Dad had one of those folding wooden measuring rulers. He used it constantly.

I've got one ,, It came in a little box of tools from one of them Habitat Stores ,, that , and a a 1940s era curved handled adjustable wrench and few other old tools ,,, I'm guessing some old fella died and the family was cleaning out Dad , or Grandpa's shop ,, and just throwing the stuff out ,, I bought 2 old handmade drawers for a workbench full of miscellaneous tools for about 6 bucks per drawer ,, one with the folding measuring stick and wrenches ,, another with about 20 plus files and rasps and micrometers ,,, etc ,,, 12 bucks,,, the files were double and triple sided ,, from machinist grades to wood rasps ,, I think one of them is a Horse Farriers Hoof rasp.
I bought it ,, I guess my daughter will do the same with it when I kick the bucket. I wonder if there'll be anyone around then that will even know what some of these tools are when that time comes ?
Which in reality,, really isn't that far away , I'm guessing.
