That should go for all crimes

 

Once, it did, but then they got soft. I recall reading that in England there was once scores of crimes for which you could be hung, then they got soft on crime and exiled the criminals to the colonies. They even made a few pounds by selling the criminals into indentured servitude, and that's how many Americans got here.

 

There are no prints in the snow but no snow on the antlers…. so many questions.

 

Checking my family geneology & history, at least five of my Dad's ancestors in England were shipped to the Australian penal colonies. Our last name is still found there today. Luckily two certain brothers were fleeter of foot and made their way to South Carolina and thence to Florida to settle and start our branch of the family tree.
