I have had about 11 of those delton uppers only issue with them is that if you noticed they are not anodized correctly hence they look blue. For my life I can seem to understand why they could not correct them hence I stopped buying from them. God knows I spent alot of time tlaking to Betty. The uppers work fine and have had no issues its just I hate having discolored firearms.. and didnt think I had to spend more money to color match them.
Musta been a problem they've fixed.. here's 2 new one's I just built and they are both very black. But I have seen the anodizing on even big name brands look bluish when very dry.. DPMS, STAG, and yes..even Colt. Top one has a DT lower, bottom one 100% DT other then the TAPCO 6 pos stock. P.S. Most of their parts (Major Components) come straight from DPMS...... BOTH OF THESE ARE VERY DRY WHEN PICTURED, WASHED THEM DOWN WITH PAINT THINNER. PICTURES TAKEN UNDER A BLUE SKY.. GOD REFUSED TO TURN OFF THE SUNSHINE FOR MY PICS.
True but at a gunshow ubnder those pretty lights alot of people would come in and aks why is this off color. They had to return a huge lot of them (uppes) becuase of this. I have ordered about 20 of these and 11 came out blue to the point it was disgusting. I too aim for reliability over pretty-ness but some customers are the other way around.
Yup the upper I just received from you is very black. Package arrived at the gun club yesterday and I picked it up last night, everything was just as described. I'd do business with Martin in the future without any hesitation. Is that you selling a SNS Skull and Bones stripped receiver at ? How many more of these receivers do you have?
Cool! Glad you got it for the weekend. Yep, thats me on and that was my last one for the moment.. will be glad to hunt you up another anytime you like, at times the wait is long, but its worth it.. they're pretty nice. AR's are addictive, just when I say I'm getting out I'm getting right back in.
any chance you could get those miscolored ones a bit cheaper? personally i'm not in the market at this time, but others might - and i'm sure it's cheaper for the company to knock off a few bucks instead of a "recall", fix, and reship. i have a .223 AR now, but don't want a duplicate - i am going to save my pennies for a much larger caliber - then i plan on piecing together a .22LR setup.
